My Fitness Journey: Week 7

I have been really bad this week. I've done no exercise and eaten a lot of junk food. I've been so busy with exams that exercise has pretty much fallen right off the agenda. The only bit of exercise that I've done was a ballet barre workout on Thursday night for about 45 minutes. I'm so disappointed with myself but ultimately, my exams must come first.

The good news is my last exam is on Tuesday and then I will be fully focused on my health and fitness goals! I'm already planning on going to the gym Monday morning and Tuesday right after my exam to get back into the swing of it. I will be following the Tone It Up weekly schedules still and hopefully trying to squeeze in some of my workout DVDs when I can too. I'm also thinking about getting back to taking ballet and tap classes but I'm awaiting confirmation from the instructor as to when they are!

I'm determined to be more toned by my graduation and then even more toned by Tom's 21st at the beginning of August. They are my two huge events coming up that I need to look and feel confident for because I'm sure there will be tons of photographic evidence!

This week has hopefully just been a bit of a blip rather than a huge bump in the road. I'm excited to get my energy levels up and to actually begin to enjoy working out.

My Fitness Journey: Week 6

I've been pretty committed to my health and fitness this week: I've kept a food/workout journal, limited my junk food and worked out most days. As well as this, I've finished all of my notes for my exam on Thursday in advance!

Monday: Started my week off with a bang. I did today's HIITy Bitty Bikini routine before picking Tom up from work and heading to the gym. At the gym, I did the Bikini Body Routine 1 twice and added 10 minutes on the exercise bike. After a 30 minute walk food shopping, once at home, I did today's Bikini Arms routine once through.

Tuesday: Just before tea-time, I completed today's new kettlebell routine. Then after tea, I completed two rounds of the Bridal Babe workout.

Wednesday: Today, I had a 'focus on revision' day so no exercise here today!

Thursday: Today was time to make up for yesterday's misses! First was Tuesday's Bikini Abs, second was Wednesday's Daisy Dukes workout and Love Your Abs and finally was today's Short and Sweet Shoulders routine. I did all of these routines once before watching rugby!

Friday/Saturday: I had so much revision to do and wasn't in the right headspace to exercise. I also found time to finish watching the last season of 90210! Loved the ending!

Sunday: Today I managed to squeeze in Saturday's workouts as well as today's. I did Saturday's Mermaid workout and Mali-booty as well as today's Bikini Arms. All of these routines were done once after work at the gym. It was super quiet there so I managed to whizz through them all!

My Fitness Journey: Week 5

This week has pretty much been a write-off. I've been so busy trying to revise that fitness has basically gone out of the window. I've been pretty focused for the past four weeks and have undone all that good work in just one week! With the arrival of my new Tone It Up Bikini Journal, I'm basically going to start a fresh tomorrow. I can jot down meals, snacks, water intake, my workouts and all my measurements throughout the programme which is great!


As of tomorrow, a new start means regular workouts pretty much every day by following Tone It Up's weekly schedule and trying to eat proper meals and less snacks. I'm going to plan out every day so that I get time to revise, work out and relax.

My Fitness Journey: Week 4

Sorry for the late post, it's been such a hectic week!

Monday/Tuesday: I was focused on my presentation for Friday so I didn't get much time to do anything else!

Wednesday: Tonight, I did Tuesday's ab routine as well as today's Mermaid routine and Pink Flamingo workout. I did each of these routines once through as I was a bit strapped for time!

Thursday: I had a chill out day and just went for a 20-minute walk with my mum to go vote!

Friday: After my presentation in the morning, I spent the next hour or so at the gym; I actually did yesterday's workout of the HIITy Bitty Bikini workout as well as the Itty Btty Bikini Abs. I also added Bikini Abs because this is the area that I want to work on the most.

Saturday/Sunday: Fitness was the last thing on my mind this weekend so I let those be my main focus.

My Fitness Journey: Week 3

This week was a bit of a mixed bag; I've cut down on snacking and tried to make up for missing some workouts. I've only snacked one night this week which is a massive milestone for me because I have such a sweet tooth!

Monday: Today, I finally finished my dissertation and submitted it late afternoon. To celebrate, I continued with my Bikini Series and completed today's workout of the HIITy Bitty Bikini workout and Bikini Abs. Just over half an hour workout and I am cream-crackered!

Tuesday-Saturday: It's been such a bad week for exercise for me. After working hard for the past month, I pretty much sat and watched TV Tuesday-Thursday and then worked Friday and Saturday. At work, I opted to stand for most of the day rather than sit and walked around the city centre on my breaks to get fresh air and a slight bit of exercise.

Sunday: Because of this week's shoddiness, after work I opted for a gym visit to make up some ground. Today did 15 minutes warm-up on the exercise bike and then I did my favourite ab workout from the website as well as an arm workout for Friday.  did both of these routines twice trough and then did Tuesday's mermaid routine.

As much as I love the routines, some of them I'm unable to do as I don't always have the equipment to do so so I either adapt the routine or focus on the same body area but make up my own circuit. Like Sunday, I did a Tone It Up ab and arm workout but they weren't the ones on the plan. My gym was so empty today so I think I'll use Sundays to do all those workouts that I didn't manage to do during the week.
