Essence Balmy Kisses Review

essencebalmykisses01

For a while now, I've been a fan of Essence cosmetics. It seems to be every shift that I do at work, I seem to find myself in Wilko browsing their offers on beauty products and the Essence stand always catches my eye.
These lipbalms caught my eye as soon as I walked up to the display. I use lipbalm on a daily basis as it's just so easy to apply at work. I don't need a mirror or a tissue to blot it on!

Essence Balmy Kisses lipbalms are so cute. I just loved the colours immediately and the three shades that they stocked all complimented each other too! They contain almond oil which is super moisturising and pampering! Essence are also a cruelty-free brand and most of them are vegan (I'm not sure about these lipbalms though!).

The first shade I picked up was 04 Treat Me Right. It's a gorgeous red which also keeps its pigment once applied. I thought it would be super sheer but I loved that it kept its colour. Obviously it's not as bright a colour as lipstick is but you can tell you're wearing some form of product on your lips!

The second shade I bought was 02 Beauty On The Go. It's a very light pink and very sheer. It almost looks like a clear lipgloss when applied. However, I didn't think it would be very pigmented so I'm okay with that!

The final shade I picked up was 03 Can't Live Without. It's almost a purple shade and the colour is definitely that on the lips! I won't lie, purple is not my favourite colour especially in a lip colour so I've only used this a few times.

Overall, I was very impressed with the Balmy Kiss lipbalms. They're great for everyday use if you just want a hint of colour.

  4. I am always impressed when I find a coloured lip balm that actually holds its pigment when you put it on, so these Essence products sound fab! I need to start wearing lip balm more as the cold winter / early spring weather always leaves my lips feeling dry! I love almond oil as well, it's super nourishing! Thanks so much for sharing, I'm so tempted to pick up a tube of Can't Live Without!

  8. The colours look pretty though I'm not a huge fan of tinted lip balms I'm always worried about the colour of it. Will have to check these out when I'm next in Wilkos
