BLOGTOBER DAY 10 | WHAT I LOVE ABOUT AUTUMN

Autumn is a great season. I am not made for warmer months. Summer is a struggle for me and I hate summer attire. I'm someone who is allllllways cold so getting to wear all the layers is a big bonus for me.

BLOGTOBER DAY 9 | UPDATED ROOM TOUR

Since moving home in August, I've been able to make a few adjustments to my current bedroom. I've moved back home with my parents and have decided to have a little remodel in my room. There aren't any huge changes: we've just switched the layout around and added new wardrobes. We're hoping to wallpaper in the next few weeks also but I thought I'd share a few of my favourite parts of my room.

BLOGTOBER DAY 8 | MY HOLY GRAIL

Around Christmas time, I bulk bought a lot of make-up. By a lot, I mean three big make-up bags full and a tonne of palettes. I made the decision to stop using the stuff I always use and test the new stuff daily. However, when you love a specific product, you can't help but gravitate back towards it!

BLOGTOBER DAY 6 | MY TOP 10 TV DRAMAS

With autumn well and truly here and winter on the way, what is better than getting comfy in front of the telly and watching a box set? That's pretty much what I do all year round but when you have a blanket on and copious amounts of hot chocolate, it's extra cosy.

BLOGTOBER DAY 5 | 20 THOUGHTS I'VE HAD WHEN WATCHING GREY'S ANATOMY

During my Masters, I did a lot of box-set binge-watching. Even if I had been at uni/work all day long, I still found time to turn on the TV. I finally got round to the letter G in my collection and decided to give Grey's Anatomy another watch. On first viewing, I didn't really get it. I was probably only half watching it in all honesty so I gave it another chance. And boy, am I glad I did. I'm now SO obsessed that I bought series 2-9 to add to my collection. And yes, I still collect DVDs!

BLOGTOBER DAY 4 | 101 IN 1001: A QUARTER-ISH DOWN

At the start of the year, I set off to complete 101 goals in 1001 days. So far, we're slightly over a quarter of the way through (250 days was 8th September so we're now on day 276) so I thought I'd delve deeper into how I've been getting along. I won't lie, I'm really not expecting to see much progress other than some box sets watched and my beauty stash reduced!

BLOGTOBER DAY 2 | OCTOBER GOALS

I hate to be that person but how is it October already? Madness! I'm actually quite excited for the colder months to start. I was born in January so naturally I'm a winter baby. Give me layers and hot chocolate over sun and sand any day! (It also doesn't help that my eyes are super sensitive to light so I wear sunglasses all year round!) And let's face it, the closer we get to Christmas, the better!

BLOGTOBER DAY 1 | INTRO

Having been to the Lake District a couple of weeks ago, it was great to just get away from everything and chill out for the week. Whilst I was there, I was planning some blog content for the next couple of months and I thought about Blogtober.

PERSONAL | HOW IS MY YEAR GOING?

There have been many changes in my life lately; I've closed a chapter in my life and started a new one. I loved my time in Sheffield but it's time for me to put my big girl pants on and begin the start of something new. And yes, that High School Musical reference was intentional, y'know this girl loves her musicals/Zefron! (Sorry if you keep singing it to yourself now!) Anyways, all this excitement and change has led me to start thinking about many areas of my life and what the near future has in store for me.

PERSONAL | THE NOTEBOOK KIND OF LOVE

notebooklove

Most people go through one epic love. You know, that one where the pair of you are inseparable. Those kind of loves can last a week, a year or a lifetime. It could be a summer fling or a marriage for the ages. And even if you haven't experienced it yet, there's always time.

LIFESTYLE | JUNE GOALS

june-goals-01

My Masters’ degree is finally over. Well, sort of. I still have a project to do but that’s not due in until September. Now I can get a bit more overtime at work, it means I need to plan everything else around work. I’m lucky that I get my shifts for the whole month and it rarely changes so I can get things put in my diary. I've been given my shifts up until the second week of August which is pretty impressive! It also means that if I want to visit home for the weekend, I can just plan it with work and they let me work more hours during the week to cover.

PERSONAL | THE NEXT CHAPTER

tee-the-next-chapter

Why does the future have to be such a scary place? Yes, it's also super exciting but it's so terrifying too. It's so weird but right now, I'm in a state of limbo. I've just finished my final exam and I've literally no idea about what I'm doing next. I mean, I have my journalism project to do to complete my Master's degree but that's not due until September. But then what? I have my part-time job (where I'll be able to get overtime if I want it) and I have my rent paid up until I have to move out in September; however, it's from that point on that I'm pretty much stuck.

LIFESTYLE | MAY GOALS

How is it May already?

Yes, I know everyone's been saying it but 2018 is speeding up, I swear! April was a little bit all over the place; one minute it was snowing, then we had tropical sunshine. I can't cope with theses changes since I took all of my winter clothing home already!

PERSONAL | SUNDAY SERIES: HANGING ON

Welcome to the very first post in my brand new Sunday series. I'll be posting every Sunday (obvs) with just my general thoughts for the week and what I've been up to. Some may be just more like a brain-dump, some might be more of a personal, reflective post. I've been saying I wanted to switch up my content so more personal posts is just an idea!

FASHION | SPRING CAPSULE WARDROBE PREP

I've had this post sat in my drafts for a couple of weeks now and was constantly dreaming of spring. Then Snowmaggedon happened and my dreams went out the window. Now it looks like the worst of the snow is over (fingers crossed), I can finally start planning my spring wardrobe!

LIFESTYLE | THE WATCH-LIST: MARCH 2018

Having dealt with snow days and having quite a bit of free time lately, I've spent most nights doing uni work or freelance work whilst watching the TV. I've found that there hasn't been much on actual TV that I've been hooked on so I've stuck to watching a lot of DVDs. How I get through some series so quickly, I do not know. I guess it's because there are no adverts! Here's a look at what I've been watching during March.

LIFESTYLE | APRIL GOALS

Happy Easter Sunday, everyone! I hope your Easter is filled with family and chocolate: the two most important things about Easter for most of us who aren't religious! I haven't written a goals post since Christmas time and I really do think they help me to stay motivated. It's a way of keeping myself on track and holding myself accountable basically! April is a busy month for myself: I have exams, assignments, a new job, new freelance work, a blog to run, theatre shows to attend, events to go to. Packing it all in is going to be a tough task but I like to keep myself busy!

BEAUTY | MY LATEST KIKO MILANO HAUL

Working in Meadowhall and around the corner from Kiko is extremely dangerous for my bank account. Luckily, I work a lot of night shifts so I tend to just go straight from the train to work and then back to the train so I avoid going past it. However, I am all about the motto TREAT YO' SELF so I try to get in every once in a while!

FITNESS | PREPPING FOR A NEW FITNESS CHALLENGE

It might be Valentine's Day but for me, it's all about loving yourself. How about some self-love instead? Loving yourself can in fact be more difficult than loving others but it is equally, if not more, important. For me, loving myself is all about looking after my health and well-being and that includes keeping fit.

BEAUTY | THE ULTIMATE NAIL COLLECTION: AUTOGRAPH COLOUR FULL DAYS

I have to admit, I'm a nail polish hoarder. I have so many different shades but had to cull over half of my collection when I went cruelty-free (Essie, here's looking at you!). Because I've been researching those brands that are CF, I was thrilled to find that M&S' Autograph range was.

LIFESTYLE | 26 BEFORE 26

Now that I’ve reached a quarter of a century on the planet and am now the wise old age of 25, I really need to start getting my shit together. I’ve always been someone who strives for the best; in fact, my ambition has got in the way of relationships and friendships before with people in my life not wanting me to reach my full potential or reach my dreams.

LIFESTYLE | THE GREATEST SHOWMAN REVIEW

I used to live in the cinema. Well, not literally, but when I was younger, I was there on a weekly basis. In senior school and college, especially during the holidays, I was there multiple times a week. In recent years, the price of cinema tickets has risen and I’ve not had the time to spend a couple of hours watching the big screen.

BEAUTY | BRAND FOCUS: NO7

bf-boots-01

I've been a fan of No7 for a while now; it's the only brand I buy foundation and mascara from. I've always been a budget, drugstore brand but for certain products, I believe it can be better to pay a little more than a couple of quid if they're what you're looking for.

PERSONAL | 101 IN 1001

Happy New Year everyone!

I'm one of those people who doesn't celebrate New Year itself but who loves any chance of a fresh start. I always use the first couple of days in January to get my shit together, organise my life and try to start how I mean to go on. However, I am also someone who usually fails by the 4th or 5th and has had enough of everything and has a lazy year after that point.
