Working in Meadowhall and around the corner from Kiko is extremely dangerous for my bank account. Luckily, I work a lot of night shifts so I tend to just go straight from the train to work and then back to the train so I avoid going past it. However, I am all about the motto TREAT YO’ SELF so I try to get in every once in a while!

As most of you know, I’m a huge fan of Kiko and they’ve been a brand that’s made an appearance on this blog on numerous occasions. I’ve done a brand focus on them as well as a previous haul.

I managed to sneak in a visit a couple of weeks ago as I had a 20% off birthday voucher that I knew needed using up. I mean I didn’t really need anything but I thought I’d find something in there, I always do.A girl can never have too much make-up!

As you can see, I’m a bit of a colour-phobe when it comes to make-up; however, I do like a bright colour on my nails! I wear a lot of basics and neutral colours (you can never own too many black items of clothing or stripes!) so I add colour to my outfits via accessories and nails are a vital part of that!

Smart Nail Lacquer in shade 028 Iridescent Violet Blue

As you saw, I did buy a tonne of Autograph nail polishes over the Christmas period; however, nail varnish is something that I do collect. I like to have a wide array of colours and seeing as there aren’t many cruelty-free nail polishes out there, I tend to stick with the same ones!

Kiko’s Smart Nail Lacquer is an incredible range. There are 103 shades currently to choose from; there’s pastels, darks, neutrals, glitters, shimmers, you want a particular colour, there’s a 99% chance it will be in this range!

Smart Nail Lacquer in shade 022 Pearly Comfy Rose

This time I went for three very different shades: a shimmer purpley-blue called Iridescent Violet Blue, a glittery pinky-purple called Pearly Comfy Rose and a faded gold shade called Cool Gold.

I’ve always been impressed by their darker shades; they only need two coats usually. I’ve yet to try any lighter colours but it’s usual for me to have to use three coats anyway!

I also picked up the Universal Stick Concealer in shade 03 Beige and the Fall 2.0 Metallic Liner in shade 02 Gold (not available online); however I’ve yet to try them!

Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick in shade 314 Plum

Similarly to the Smart Nail Lacquer, their Velvet Passion Matte Lipsticks are available in 27 shades; for a lipstick range, that is impressive! With lippy, I tend to stick with the same shades: rose pinks, a bright red and deep reds. I’m trying to experiment more but it’s difficult to find shade that suit me!

Velvet Passion Matte Lipstick in shade 326 Natural Rose (a new shade!)

During my latest haul, I picked up a deep purpley-pink shade called Plum and a pinky-nude called Natural Rose. I already own similar shades but these two are either slightly lighter/darker than the ones I have. These have staying power of around 8 hours or so so they are pretty good!

As you can see, Natural Rose (middle shade) looks more peach than pink! I’m excited to try the gold metallic liner as it looks really bright!

I only ended up spending £21.06 in total which for 7 products is pretty good going! Cruelty-free drugstore make-up can be difficult to buy (there’s only really Superdrug that have a range of CF brands stocked) so I love that I can always rely on Kiko to sell me quality products at a low cost and no bunnies were harmed in the making of them!
