WARNING: This post is photo heavy!
I remember seeing on the Boots Facebook page that this was going to be the Star Buy of the Week just before Christmas. After asking Rachel who I work with if it was worth it for half price (she’s the make-up guru), she told me to go for it! Retailing at £45, as a Star Buy, it was £25.

As I work opposite a Boots which opens at 8.30, I was that sad loser queuing up before work. I was the first person in and out. One of the staff members in there even told me that I wouldn’t regret buying the box!

The girls at work were even pressuring me to have a play with everything inside but I only opened it just after Christmas! I know, I’m rubbish but Christmas was crazy!

Coming from Hull, the colours are exactly the ones used on our City of Culture merchandise! I love the box so much that I’ve kept everything in tact inside it!

I mean, look how cute even the description of the box is inside? Nine products for £45 is a pretty good deal but for only £25? It’s basically a steal!

The first item inside is the I-Divine palette in Vintage Romance. This would never be a palette that I’d puck up myself; the colours are very bright and not to my usual nude or grey taste. I’m excited to experiment with some pinks and blues for a change. Bright smoky eyes are my beauty risk for 2017!

First of all, let’s just talk about how beautiful this packaging is! Gold will always look super expensive and this is no different! The Solstice highlighting palette is a dream; I’ve not used it yet but then it looks so pretty, I’m not sure I want to use it!

Sleek’s Blush by 3 palette in Lace is probably the most disappointing product in the box for me. I don’t particularly use blush anyway but these are incredibly bright. In fairness, it might be because I’m not really sure that I know how to use blush properly but these just look so orange and pink to me!

Even though I use my Freedom contouring kit during the day, I still like to own a contouring kit. It think when I have slightly more time in a morning, I’ll be using this Contour Kit in Medium. I’m fairly new to contouring so it’s all a big learning curve for me!

I’ve been looking for a new eye pencil and the Twist Up Eye Pencil in Midnight looks like it might fit the bill. It’s very pigmented and looks quite creamy so a good base will be an essential!

I have a confession to make: I don’t use any brow products. I’m lucky that I have dark full eyebrows since I stopped overly plucking them. In all honesty, I don’t even know how to use any brow products so if you have any tutorials, send me links! The Brow Stylist in Medium is a shade that will be suitable for a wide range of people.

Next up is the Full Fat mascara which by the look of the wand, probably won’t be for me. I always go for a thin plastic wand as I find them easier to apply. I will definitely be giving it a try but I’m not holding up much hope!

I was slightly miffed that the Matte Me in Shabby Chic was the colour included in the box because I’d only bought it a few weeks before seperately! It’s a very pretty rose colour which seems to be a universal shade.

A red lipstick is always a must which is why I was thrilled to see the Sleek Lip VIP in Walk of Fame included in the box! In the ingredients are Vitamin E, shea butter and coconut oil which means it should be nourishing and moisturising at the same time!

I can’t wait to add most of these products into my daily make-up routine; I’ve never tried any Sleek Make-Up products before but I’ve heard so many great things about them!
