The Blogger Tag
I’m back! Have you missed me? So if you didn’t know already, I took a little break from blogging to concentrate on two resist that have now been done! You’ll be glad to know that both exams went better than I thought they would so fingers crossed I’ve passed them! I will find out on 20th December so Christmas will either be great or ruined!
I thought seeing as today is my return to blogging, I would let you all know a bit about myself by filling in this tag that I found on Gwennan’s blog. Now you know I love a tag post so here goes!
1. How tall are you?
5″2. I’m super tiny but I actually like it. I can fit into small spaces very easily!
2. Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
Procrastinating and sleeping are my specialties! In fairness, don’t really think I have a hidden talent; if I’m good at something, I share it with everyone!
3. What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
Automated DMs drive me up the wall. If you’re a blogger and you follow me, I will then go and check out your blog. No need to tell me to do it! I also get annoyed when it says ‘Blogger’ in someone’s bio but they don’t have a link to it! Where am I meant ti find your blog?
4. What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
Slow walkers. I might be small but I’m an incredibly fast walker. Slow walkers always seem to appear when I’m on my dinner break and have lots of things to do or when I’m just in a rush to get somewhere! I’m also the same with slow drivers. If the speed limit is 40 and it is safe to do so, drive at 40, not 30!
5. What’s your favourite song?
My favourite song of all time? I can’t pick just one. I’m a massive fan of The Beatles, McFly and Taylor Swift so something by them probably. As of right now, I don’t listen to chart music so I couldn’t tell you what the latest releases are!
6. What’s your favourite social media website?
Twitter; I love connecting with other bloggers and sports fans.
7. What’s your favourite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
Lazy days were made for me or should it be I was made for lazy days? If I have an entire day off to do nothing, I will spend it binge watching a TV show and then maybe decorating my planner. It’s not often I get one of those days though! If I have just an hour or so before bed, I like to switch off my phone and pick up a good book.
8. What’s your favourite junk food?
Pizza. It’s the easiest meal. I actually love the frozen ones rather than takeaways but I do have a soft spot for Pizza Hut!
9. Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
I don’t have any pets. I HATE cats and I’m not a dog lover either. My dad and I are saving up for a huge fish tank though!
10. What’s your favourite fiction and non-fiction books?
My favourite fiction books are Harry Potter obvs and Catcher in the Rye. Non-fiction, I love both of Marie Kondo’s books! I’ve become a real minimalist in most areas of my life lately so I want to keep that up!
11. What’s your favourite beauty product or tool?
My favourite beauty product has to be my No7 Stay Perfect mascara. I always have it on! Favourite tool has to be my eyelash curler. Even if I have no other make-up on, I use this then the mascara and I feel at least awake!
12. When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
I’m easily embarrassed! I have very rosy cheeks and don’t really like attention in public. I can’t think of a specific incident though!
13. If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Hot chocolate; either homemade or from Costa!
14. What’s your favourite movie?
There’s no way in hell I can pick just one movie: West Side Story, Center Stage, Harry Potter. These are the three I always go to (yes I realise there are 8 HP films!)
15. What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
Maths. I like that there’s a right and a wrong! I enjoyed CPA too (Creative and Performing Arts) up until I got into year 9 as my teacher for years 7 and 8 was fab (hey Miss Lane) and she let my dancing shine!
16. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I reallllly want to move to Dallas, TX as I realllllly want to try out to become a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I love to dance and I love the empowerment of these dancers.
17. PC or Mac?
PC. I’m not a huge Apple fan. I have the iPhone and an iPod classic but I hate Macs.We had to use them at school and I hated them!
18. Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? (or kind gesture for a friend)
To start with, I am very single so the last kind gesture I did for a fried was probably bringing in sweets for the girls at work! I’m the queen of confectionery there so I’m constantly bringing in chocolate, biscuits and gummy sweets!
19. Favourite celebrity?
Nikki Bella is my favourite celeb right now. I think she’s a phenomenal athlete and just an all-round lovely person. And she has killer style!
20. What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
It’s not a secret, I’d love any blogging friends. I love my best friends IRL and they’re supportive of my blog but they were my best friends before I started blogging and will remain my best friends until I die.
21. Who is your biggest inspiration?
Any #GirlBoss killing it in their field, whether it’s blogging, sport or politics. For me, I’m a huge Laura Kenny fan and have been for many years now. I’ve just started reading her book with her new husband Jason and I’m in awe of her work ethic and talent.
22. What is your favourite blog to read?
I don’t have a favourite blog! Since I started blogging, I’ve always read Becca’s blog though.
23. What is your favourite high street shop?
I’ve been on a clothes shopping ban since September so I really had much of a nosy in any stores. I normally spend most of my money in Next or Dorothy Perkins though, hooray for Petite sections! I think nowadays I spend more time in Boots or Superdrug on beauty buys!
24. Are you in education or do you work?
Technically, I’m in both. I work part time at the Post Office and I’ve just finished two exams as a distance learner. I just have to arrange a time to resit my shorthand exam and then I will be a fully-qualified journalist!
25. One thing you are proud of.
I’m hugely proud of graduating from uni. It was a long, stressful three years but I’m glad I made it through. I get annoyed with the perceptions of students, that we’re all lazy and just spend all of our time partying. I managed to balance uni, work, a relationship, society rehearsals and friendships during my three years and still managed to achieve a 2:1.
