I know we’re a third of the way into the month, but it’s okay to ease into a new year. Whilst I’m still putting the finishing touches on my annual goals, it’s time to continue with my monthly goals series. I love setting smaller goals as they feel much more achievable, and 30 days is a great timeframe to achieve plenty in! Here’s a look at my 10 goals for January 2026.
10 GOALS FOR JANUARY 2026
Have a low-spend month
Other than my birthday trip to Manchester, I’m planning on a very low-key month. Even though I have a couple of out-of-town theatre trips, the plan is to spend the minimum (coffee shops, cheap eateries, a programme) and save where I can. I’ve been trying to buy gift cards for coffee shops too, as you get cashback on them on Top Cashback and the app Jam Doughnut.
Complete business rebrand + website
When I started my digital marketing course back in October, I went all in on a rebrand for my business, including setting up a new website. I’ve been in business since September 2020 full-time, so it felt like a good time to refresh. It also means rewriting all of my website pages and brainstorming new content. There’s a never-ending list of tasks to get through!
Set up TEE content plan for Q1
Every year, I aim to work on my blog more, and a lot of that starts with planning. However, in 2026, I want to start planning less often and look at my content plans on a quarterly basis. Because I’ve merged my website, my content will be a mixture of the usual theatre and goals content, but more lifestyle topics, such as beauty, fashion, and money. It’s basically all of my passions in one place.
Stick to weekly resets
If there’s one thing that I slacked on over Q4 last year, it was my weekly resets. Some weeks, I do a full house clean. Other weeks, I just do some budgeting and plan the following week. However, I love the routine of getting set up for the next week on a Sunday, especially because I don’t work them.
Set up wardrobe tracker app
I’ve had an app on my phone for a few years called Stylebook, where you basically track your wardrobe and how often you wear each piece. It’s something I used religiously back in the day, but haven’t used it for quite some time. I already do something similar on a spreadsheet, but it’ll be nice to see it visually.
Complete bullet journal set-up + Notion
Once again, I’m trying a mixture of physical and digital planning, because it just works well for me. I like that bullet journalling and physical planners help me to reduce my screen time, which is important to me right now! However, digital planning is a lot easier because you can move things around!
Read 6 books
I’ve definitely got back into the reading bug lately, especially during my commutes to work and out-of-town shows. Six books is one book every week and a bit, which is definitely doable.
Workout or walk every day
This is something I want to focus on in 2026, because my health and fitness are key goals. Whilst I’m hoping to start 75 Soft when I get back from my Manchester trip after my birthday, getting more exercise is a necessity!
Trial an SEO tool
I’ve used all of the free ones, but want to take my client work to the next level and add an SEO tool to my monthly business expenses. I’m hoping that if I try a couple of them on free trials, I’ll discover which one I like the most. I have used many of them previously, but on clients’ accounts. Now it’s time to get my own access!
Try a co-working space
If I want to take my business to the next level, I think I need to get out of the house more and really invest. Similar to the SEO tools above, I’m hoping to try a day pass at a few places over the next couple of months before making a decision.
And that’s everything for my 10 goals for January 2026. It definitely feels like a foundational month, and it’s normal to work on everything for a few weeks until you get into a proper routine. I don’t get the January blues like other people because it’s my birthday month! It’s only a couple of days away, so I’m excited to get out of town for a couple of days.
If you enjoyed this post on my 10 goals for January 2026, my other goals content is right here. Later in the week, I’ll be sharing my annual goals, so stay tuned for that. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter, Instagram and TikTok too.
