Ah, the dreaded About page! It’s as daunting as having to think of an icebreaker. Nevertheless, it’s important!
The English Everygirl is a lifestyle blog run by me, Sian (a 32-year-old sports nut, who spends most of her time binge-watching box sets). Since July 2014, I’ve been covering a range of topics, from beauty to fashion, and organisation to personal essays. I set up my blog as an outlet to write while studying for my marketing degree. I’ve gone on to become an NCTJ-qualified journalist as well as being a Master of Sports Journalism.
After years of working in retail and never having a proper, chilled-out Christmas, I found myself in my first big-girl full-time job in a digital marketing agency. However, my dream has always been to become self-employed so in December 2018, I turned freelance, offering my blogging and content writing skills to various companies.
In 2025, it is my aim to give my blog a bit of a reboot. That includes covering a wide range of topics because I have so many hobbies and interests. That hopefully means better content, better photography and building The English Everygirl’s brand. I’ll still be writing the same chatty posts, just more focused on a new direction.
I am always open to working with brands. Having already worked with Wicked the Musical, Essence Cosmetics, Panasonic, Clothes Aid, Skintifique, Busy B and The Treat Kitchen so far, I’d love to work with you!
You can find me tweeting about my love of Strictly or late 90s/early 00s pop music (boybands and Britney mostly) or sharing my musicals obsession and capsule wardrobe on Instagram.
I’m excited for you to have a look around my blog and chat to me on social media. I believe in creating content that you would want to read yourself so I hope that comes across. Now, browse away!
