I’m surprised that I’ve watched as little as I have but I’ve also had new episodes of all my US crime dramas to catch up on too. Let’s get straight into what I watched in May 2024.
GREY’S ANATOMY SEASONS 11-14
When I first watched season 11, I was sad because of Cristina leaving and then Derek dying. However, with both of them gone from Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith really thrives as a doctor. I like the addition of Maggie, Amelia, Riggs and Deluca too. I’m not sure on some of the couplings (basically, Owen should grow old alone) but I know they have to keep changing it up. Some of the more recent episodes are incredible too, even though on the whole the seasons aren’t as good. Maybe it just takes a few watches to warm to the newer characters?
DANCE MOMS SEASON 1
Now I know that the show is incredibly controversial but it’s in my top three reality TV shows of all time (behind The Hills and DCC:MTT). The main reason I watch is because the kids are so talented and I’ll admit that I love the mama drama. I’d say Chloe and Nia are my favourites, although Kalani is my favourite dancer from the show. It’s so funny to see the girls in the early seasons when they were basically babies! It’s been years since I’ve watched the show (apart from YouTube clips) but finally, 4OD has the rights to the show (or whatever they call their streaming platform now). I know this show back to front so love chatting to people about it!
DCC:MTT SEASONS 11-16
Yes, I’ve gone through the entire series again. The women on the show are so insanely talented and although the show is pretty dramatic in places, I like that mostly, their talent gets to shine. Season 13’s rookie class is probably my favourite. If anyone watches the show, I’d love to chat because I’m obsessed. However, I will warn you that I have very strong opinions about most of the cheerleaders because I think they should put dance ability above most other skills!
THE FALL GUY
I already knew this film would be good because Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt are bloody good actors. These two have insane chemistry but I’m pretty sure both could have chemistry with a doll. When I tell you that I howled during the film, someone in the cinema actually tutted at me for laughing too loud. Apparently, I was the only person who found anything remotely funny! I’d definitely see it again.
And that’s everything for what I watched in May 2024. Short and sweet but I tend to watch less as the summer gets here anyway! Hopefully, I’ll be finished and caught up with Grey’s Anatomy soon enough and Dance Moms is my new daytime background show for working.
