Bloody hell, September already? I love it though as it always feels like back-to-school time, even though I left in 2009. As much as I love the New Year, setting goals to last you 12 months is a big commitment. September gives you 4 months (or 3 if you don’t really count December like me) to refocus and reset. I’ve recently done a 90-day plan to commence when I come back from my holiday. With that being said, here are my 10 goals for September 2021.
AUGUST REVIEW
Consistent content for CBS
I’m really pleased that I managed this. I published blog posts, newsletter and social media consistently this month with lots more planned for September already!
Launch 3 new packages
Another goal completed! I set up three new packages at three different price points for content creation for small to established businesses.
Streamline my onboarding process
This goal was delayed for a month. I signed up to a course to help me with this but didn’t realise it doesn’t start until September! Oops!
Track my time on Toggl
Whilst I didn’t do this every single day, I did when I spent the day at my desk working. It was eye-opening to see where I’m productive and when I’m procrastinating too much.
Blog twice a week on TEE
I wrote 5 blog posts this month, mostly the Sunday Diaries posts, but it’s better than nothing at all!
Plan TEE content for August onwards
September’s content is planned and now it needs creating and scheduling. I’m excited to do more UK travel, theatre and entertainment content.
Plan SWS content for September onwards
I’ve actually decided to bench this one for the time being, possibly pushing back the launch to 2022. For a money blog, I’ve been a bit rubbish with money lately!
Plan third blog launch
This is definitely in motion. In fact, my first post went live today! The website is very basic until I find the time to work on it properly but I’ll be posting a couple of posts a week.
Stick to August budget
With the amount of delayed invoices, I was sort of forced into a no-spend month. I’m still waiting on some to be paid but I’m looking to save as much as possible between now and Christmas!
Bake 4 receipes
I didn’t bake anything this month; I had so much work going on that baking took a backseat. I’ll get back to it soon enough.
AUGUST STATS
9 – Number of TV series watched
4 – Number of empties
£30 – Money saved
1 – Books read
237 – Number of pages read
SEPTEMBER GOALS
Now let’s take a closer look at my 10 goals for September 2021:
Take my holiday off work + blogging
It’ll be my first break since March 2020 and I need a few days off. I’m off to the Peak District next week for five days and really don’t want to do any work or blogging in this time. This means the rest of this week will be madness!
Set up my Q4 / 14 weeks plan
I know Q4 doesn’t technically start until October but when you take half of December off, it seems sensible to start it early. I’ll be setting a 14 weeks plan from 13th September to 17th December to reset my year. I have nothing organised yet so that’s the plan for my week away!
Schedule CBS content for September + October
Once I get back, I’ll be getting organised with my content for my business. It can take a backseat when you have to focus on client work so if I set it all up in advance, I’ll save myself time in the long run!
Write 30 blog posts in 30 days
With three blogs (this one, my biz blog and TRM now), I need to get ahead with my blog posts. Writing 30 posts in 30 days seems like a stretch with a holiday in there but if I write a couple in one day, I gain a day back.
Complete onboarding course
This is August’s goal delayed really. I want to finish the course and implement all the information for my own business. Currnetly, my onboarding process is a tonne of email back and forth, not really sustainable.
Complete Dubsado course
When I signed up to Dubsado, I also signed up to their set-up course. It launched last month and I’ve done nothing with it so far. Once I’ve got my onborading process clear, I can set up Dubsado.
Stick to new working routine
I want to set up a working week that works for me. I need to work less evenings and weekends and avoid burnout. I’ll be looking into time blocking my week again, working on one client’s stuff in one day and not switching constantly.
Low-spend month
I know I won’t be able to avoid spending any money because of my holiday and a couple of day trips to Sheffield. However, I’ll be avoiding spending much money as I’m still trying to save for a house. I don’t really need anything right now so hopefully, it won’t be too difficult to do!
Find a new exercise routine
This is a main focus for me between now and Christmas. More than anything, I’m just unfit now. I want to rediscover my love of dance and have even signed up to some online classes to help me out. Learning a new routine every week (and working up to every day) should keep me fit!
Read 10 books
I’ve really slacked off reading in recent months and have changed my target from 120 for the year to 100. I’ve downloaded a load of new books, both fiction and non-fiction, to get me back on track. I need to read every night before bed again!
My 10 goals for September 2021 are definitely more achievable as they have been in the past. I’m hoping to have a bit of a reset in all areas of my life so the end of 2021 looks exciting for me! Follow me on Instagram and Twitter to see what I get up to.
