There are just two months left of 2026, and it’s still plenty of time to get things done. Despite being on our way to Christmas, I’m happy to have a quieter month in November, giving me more time to focus on myself. October was a trying month, so I want to get back on track. Here’s a look at my 10 goals for November 2026, including what my plans are for the month ahead.
10 GOALS FOR NOVEMBER 2026
Finish as many Portia Macintosh books as I can
As one of my favourite authors, I’ve been a fan of Portia’s fun writing style for years. However, she writes books at a rapid pace, and there are so many that I’ve yet to read! Luckily, I own quite a few already that I need to get through before I sign up to Kindle Unlimited again to read the rest.
Select December TBR
One of my favourite things that I love about reading is that you can absolutely read by the seasons. That means that because we’re coming up to Christmas, it’s time for Christmas-themed books! Are they usually pretty cheesy? Yes, but it’s a very easy way to get me into the Christmas spirit.
Get ahead with November and December blog posts
I’ll be honest, I’ve been having a bit of a creative block when it comes to my blog. Do I add Substack into the mix? Should I get back into Instagram properly? The problem is I just don’t have the time. Whilst my job isn’t exactly 9-5, I’ve been working full-time in recent weeks there. My day starts at 6am, and I don’t get home until 6.30pm usually. When you’re down on energy, I literally just get home, eat, shower, and go to bed. However, after spending a few hours writing when I went on an overnight trip recently, it gave me the blogging bug back. For now, I think I’ll just focus on posting a couple of times a week to my blog. I’ll add in occasional Instagram posts, and leave Substack for the new year.
Brainstorm + start planning for business rebrand
In 2026, I’ve really let my freelancing business dip. Right now, I don’t have any writing clients, as I’ve been so focused on my Post Office job. With that being said, I miss writing for clients and would like to use my two to three days off a week productively. That means finally finishing the rebrand of my website and socials, as well as posting regularly to my platforms. It’ll take a bit of planning, so maybe I’ll spend the next two months planning and prepping before relaunching in January.
Start planning for Q1
As I said above, I plan on relaunching my business in January, so November and December are all about planning for the new year. As a Type A type of person, planning is a big deal for me, so it’ll take me some time to get prepared. We’re talking organising my Q1 personal calendar, blog post/content planning, and sorting out my travel plans for the next couple of months.
Have a low-spend month
September and October were so expensive that I need a low-spend month to make up for it! Whilst I might break this to purchase Christmas presents, I need to spend less day-to-day. That means I’m banning myself from buying any clothes and beauty products (unless something rips or I run out of an item). The exception is Black Friday, though. I’ve set myself a £200 limit for anything I might see that’s a bargain. I don’t want to spend that much, but I’ve got a savings pot put aside for it. I’ll be buying gift cards for coffee shops and eating out too.
Make an extra £100 in side hustles
In order to build my winter capsule wardrobe, I need to get rid of what I already have and simply don’t wear. I’ve got bags and boxes filled with unworn clothing that I not only need some money for. However, I could really do with the space and less clutter in the house. I’d like to dedicate Sunday afternoons to take photographs, and then pockets of time during the week to upload them to the app. I also need to get back into doing online surveys for a few pennies too.
Focus on healthy daily habits
I’ve been doing a very soft version of the winter lock-in. Despite starting strongly in the first two weeks of October, I’ve definitely slacked off towards the end of the month. With that being said, I just want to focus on the daily healthy habits, such as skincare and supplements twice a day, drinking two litres of water minimum, and getting my steps in. I’d love to use it as preparation for starting 75 Medium on the 1st January.
Get back into weekly meal planning + meal prepping
Over the last couple of weeks, my diet has also gone out the window. I’m still sticking to my intermittent fasting window on most days, but I’m not eating enough proper meals or fruit/vegetables. When I get home from work in the evening, I either have nothing or I just eat two slices of toast. That’s fine every so often, but not regularly. If I can get back into meal planning and meal prepping on a Sunday night, I’ll have nutritious meals waiting for me when I get home from work that take a couple of minutes to warm up in the microwave.
Use one night per week for offline hobbies
I have a bunch of unfinished projects that I want to complete in November, as well as start setting up for next year. However, I want to make time for offline hobbies. I’m looking at a screen all day at work and don’t want to do it every night when I come home. I also want to keep my brain ticking, so I either need to do a hobby where my brain gets to relax, or something where my brain is fully awake and being used! These hobbies include:
- Updating my 2026 theatre journal
- Updating my 2026 bullet journal
- Starting to set up 2027 bullet journals + planners
- Making friendship bracelets for fun (make more Swiftie-themed ones)
- Getting more wordsearches done
- Getting back into sudoku
- Trying a quiz book so I can learn more fun facts
- Learning Spanish with a revision book, rather than Duolingo
And that’s a wrap for my 10 goals for November 2026. I’m excited to have more of a focused month before we head into December, which is always chaotic! It’s all about using my evenings and days off productively, but still finding the time to get off my laptop and reduce my screen time actively.
