We’re a few days into a new month, so it’s time to set my usual monthly goals. February feels like a bit of a reboot after January, aka my birthday month! I’ve decided against recapping January for now, so let’s jump straight in with my 10 goals for February 2026 instead.
10 GOALS FOR FEBRUARY 2026
Update my 2025 theatre journal + start the 2026 version
I’m months behind on my theatre journal that I started last year. In February, I’m trying to spend more time away from screens. Whilst I usually journal while watching YouTube, I don’t really pay too much attention to it. My theatre journals will be fun keepsakes to store away and never look at again!
Try a new Hull eatery
It’s my goal in 2026 to try more Hull eateries, so I want to start this month. I’ll treat myself to a day working from the library and a meal out, maybe even a cinema trip. I do need to create a list of cafes first, but I think Everything Toastie is my number one spot to try! My stomach might not like all that dairy, but my taste buds will!
Read 4 books
After January’s disaster, I’m determined to get back into the reading game. I really need to start reading before bed again, instead of faffing around on my phone! Four books is a doable amount, it’s basically one per week!
Finish FBI: International
I’m rewatching a bunch of my favourite crime/detective shows. After catching up with FBI over the past couple of months, I’m now onto FBI: International. Right now, I’m halfway through season two, so I should easily get through two and a half seasons in one month. I’m excited to see Jesse Lee Soffer’s seasons. Halstead is my all-time favourite One Chicago character (well, his face is my favourite anyway).
Tidy the spare bedroom/my home office
This is an intermittent goal that I add in every so often, but since Christmas, it’s become the usual dumping ground once again. However, whether I stay a freelancer or move into a full-time role, I’ll need my home office for work-from-home days and to blog from too. The whole room needs an extreme makeover, with everything taken out and only putting back in what should be in there!
Meal prep on WFH days
My work days are long, despite only working a six-hour shift. We’re out at 7.15am and don’t usually get home until 6.15pm. At that time of night, I can’t be bothered to cook anything substantial, so I either eat freezer food or just crumpets. If I can cook extra portions of ‘proper’ meals when I’m working from home, I can eat the leftovers on my out-of-house work days!
Focus on skincare routine twice a day
I’ve really slacked off on my skincare routines in the past couple of weeks, and then I wonder why my skin is playing up! I went for dermaplaning the other day, so my skin is feeling silky smooth, but it needs protecting. That means I need to stick to a simple routine for a few days before reintroducing stronger ingredients, like retinol, lactic acid or salicylic acid. I’ve jotted down when and how often I use each product, so now it’s about implementing it all!
Make £50 from side hustles
This might seem like a small amount, but it’s been a while since I took side hustling seriously. This will include surveys on my phone and laptop, getting cashback on any online purchases, and uploading some clothes to Vinted. I’ve also been using the app Jam Doughnut for cashback on mostly coffee shops, as you buy the gift cards on there in advance.
Watch one business workshop
I’ve got so many workshops from various business owners that I need to catch up on, and I’m aiming for one per month. January was a bust, so in theory, I need to watch two in February. However, I’ll aim for just one to at least get started. I’m unsure what I’ll watch, but it’ll probably be something on SEO or digital marketing.
Finish updating CBS website
I am determined to finish my business website this month. Right now, I’m paying for the hosting, so I might as well get the website live. I definitely need to double-check the progress of it, because it’s been a while since I even looked at it. First, I’ll make a checklist of what needs doing on what page, and then I’ll just get it done!
And that’s a wrap on my 10 goals for February 2026. I’m excited for the month ahead, with lots of spare time to fill for a change!
