I might be a week late, but it’s never too late to set your monthly goals! February was a trying month (yet again), so I’ll recap first. Then it’s onto my 10 goals for March 2026, which I’m excited to get stuck into.
FEBRUARY GOALS RECAP
Update my 2025 theatre journal + start the 2026 version
DONE. I’m all up-to-date with my theatre journal. Instead of starting a new journal, I just continued my 2025 one into this year. Now I need to do a backdated one for 2024 and before!
Try a new Hull eatery
Fail. I’ve been out of town too much to even go into Hull this month. I think I went into town once but I ended up at the chain Chinese buffet place. Sometimes, you just need as much food as you can eat at a reasonable price!
Read 4 books
Fail. I managed two books in February, but for some reason, I’ve not been in the reading mood. However, I’ve bought myself a new book for March to motivate myself to get the reading bug back!
Finish FBI: International
DONE. Technically, I finished it in March, but it was before I wrote this post, so I’m classing it as a win! I’m sad it’s over because Jesse Lee Soffee (Jay Halstead from Chicago PD) joined in season four, and I adore the man. I wanted to see more of him on my screen!
Tidy the spare bedroom/my home office
Another fail. I will be adding this goal every month until I actually get it done. The spare room keeps getting messier by the week, and I need to sort it out this month or over Easter. There’s just stuff all over, and I have to move lots of stuff just to sit and type at my desk!
Meal prep on WFH days
Another fail. My diet has been a hot mess since the start of the year, and I haven’t cooked as much as I’d have liked to. However, I have done some meal prep on occasion, so it’s not perfect, but not a complete disaster.
Focus on my skincare routine twice a day
DONE. I’ve definitely upped my skincare game in February, researching new ingredients and getting into a routine. Whilst I might skip the odd morning or evening routine, I’ve done my skincare twice a day most days.
Make £50 from side hustles
Fail. I just struggled with motivation all month, with doing extra shifts at work and being out of town quite a bit. Oh well, we’ll try again next month.
Watch one business workshop
Another fail. I definitely should’ve made better use of my free time, but as I said above, I was a major procrastination station in February!
Finish updating CBS website
Oh look, my final fail. I will finish my new website soon. Hopefully, next month?
10 GOALS FOR MARCH 2026
Set up for Q2: spring capsule, goals + personal curriculum
The last month of the quarter is always about getting set for the next one, which means March is my ‘get organised’ month. In Q2, I have big plans for my blog and business. To make those plans happen, I need to use March as a trial month. We’re talking about planning out my quarterly goals, capsule wardrobe and personal curriculum. Hobbies and learning are two areas I want to focus on in Q2 to quieten down my brain.
Tidy spare bedroom/home office
I will get this done this month. I have quite a lot of time off work in March with holidays, and other than the odd day trip out of town, I have lots of spare time with less overtime. Whilst I’m sure I’ll be busy with blogging and business tasks, my main aim is to make a dent in tidying the spare bedroom. The dumping ground, as I call it, is just an absolute mess.
Update habit tracker daily
This is more of a daily habit to check off my habit tracker app daily, but I’m often inconsistent with it. However, March is the month that I put myself first properly, and focus on my daily healthy habits. The idea is to just go on the app before bed every night, and it’ll only take me two minutes!
Keep up with haircare routine
Now I’ve got into a routine with my skincare, it’s time to turn to my haircare. I’m very lucky to have long, dark, straight, shiny hair, but my scalp is a little itchy at times, and the ends can get dry. I’ve done a lot of research and got myself a leave-in conditioner, gloss serum and keratin oil to add to my routine. However, at first use, my hair feels greasier than ever! Maybe it will improve over a month or so?
20 no-spend days
So far, we’re eight days in, and I’ve had five no-spend days already. 20 days seems manageable, especially being out of the house less this month. Work days are no-spend days because I include coffee shop giftcards and the bus home as planned expenses. However, if I treat myself to a Boots trip (it’s next door to my workplace) or buy snacks, that counts as a spending day.
Save £300
This might seem like a small amount to many, but £300 is still a significant amount to save in a month. I have quite a few savings accounts, but if I’m saving to move out, I’m just going to put them into my house funds sinking fund and distribute them at a later date.
List old clothes on Vinted
I’m not setting myself a particular number, but I’ve already listed a couple of items. It’s something I want to do gradually throughout the month, because I believe Vinted prefer it if you list items regularly, rather than tons in one go. I’m hoping to go through all of my wardrobes, stationery, tech and books. If I don’t use an item, it’s going on Vinted!
Get back into routine with client R
This is my main client that I’ve worked with since I started freelancing. However, this year, I think I’ve written just a couple of blog posts for them. That needs to change, which means getting into a weekly routine. Back in the day, I spend time making full briefs before writing up the articles, which saved time in the long run. I’d love to start doing that again and write a couple of articles a week for them.
Get back into posting CBS + TEE content
This is a very blanket goal, but as I said earlier, March is all about content! My business socials need resuscitating, and this blog needs more consistency in terms of posting. The aim is to post three times a week to both of those, as well as sporadically to my blog socials too. However, I have a love-hate relationship wth short-form content
Complete new biz website
This has to get done this month. I’m dedicating my work holidays to finishing my new website, which I’ve been working on since November. First of all, I need to make a to-do list as it’s all from scratch. I think I have the content for most pages written up, but I’ll need to create the pages and add some filler images until I can get some professional photos done.
And that’s a wrap on my 10 goals for March 2026. It’s a busy month of admin-type tasks but less social plans. Hopefully, that means I’ll achieve most of my goals!
