We’re in the final quarter of 2025, meaning a last push to end the year on a high. This year has been full of promise, but I’ve not achieved what I set out to do. However, there are still three months left to make a move! I’ll recap September first before going into my 10 goals for October 2025.
10 GOALS FOR SEPTEMBER 2025 RECAP
Declutter wardrobes
DONE-ISH. I’ll probably do a gentle declutter as autumn/winter goes on, but for the most part, I’ve gotten rid of a bunch of items. Again, I still have too much in there, but it’s full of pieces that I love and hope to wear this season. I’ll keep track of what I don’t wear and then get rid of it after winter’s gone.
Set up my autumn capsule wardrobe
DONE. It’s my favourite time of year, so I finally get to wear my range of long-sleeved tops and sweatshirts. I’m excited to add some new pieces in, as I’m loving the burgundy pieces on the market right now!
Upload clothing to Vinted
FAIL. All of those clothes that I decluttered went straight in a bin bag and straight to the charity shop. In my defence, I’m not sure I would’ve made much money out of them anyway.
Read 4 books
DONE. I managed to get through five books in September, but haven’t read a single page in well over a week now! Three of those were Tessa Bailey’s Big Shots series, which I loved!
Start 75 Soft
FAIL. What a disaster. I had zero motivation to work out, but I want to start again in October. I’m just getting over a cold, so will restart the challenge as soon as I’m feeling better.
Stick to meal prepping twice a week
DONE-ISH. I’ve started cooking less but just making extra portions instead. It’s mostly stir fries, curries and fried rice, because I like what I like. Plus it’s a great way for me to get extra veg into my diet!
Reset AM + PM routines
FAIL. I won’t lie, I’ve been VERY slack with my routines lately, sleeping in a lot and going to bed pretty late. It’s just so hard to get up early when it’s so dark outside!
Save something!
DONE. I’m trying to save a minimum of £200 into a regular saver as something is better than nothing! Anything extra is going towards paying off my credit cards for now.
Stick to business content posting schedule
FAIL. I posted two times to my Instagram and then haven’t posted a thing since the 3rd on my socials. Equally, I’ve not written anything for my blog either. Oh well, we’ll try again next month.
Start drafting TEE blog posts in advance
FAIL. Blogging has definitely fallen by the wayside in September, but again, it’s not the end of the world. It’s all about fixing it next month.
OCTOBER 2025 PLANS
Now that September is done, but before I get into my 10 goals for October 2025, here’s a look at how my October is shaping up.
- 9th – Start my new/old part-time job (the branch is new for me, but the job is one that I did for five years)
- 11th – Super League Grand Final
- 15th – Nails appointment
- 21st – The Shawshank Redemption press night in Hull
- 22nd – Bradford day trip to see The Lightning Thief
- 25th – Nerina Pallot concert
- 27th – Manchester overnight stay to see Remember Monday
- 30th – First day of university course (once a week until Christmas)
10 GOALS FOR OCTOBER 2025
Go to the cinema three times
I bought a bundle of five tickets for £25 for Odeon and need to use them up by the end of the month. Having seen Downton Abbey and The Roses in September, I need to see three more films to get my money’s worth. I’ve got my eye on The Smashing Machine, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, and I Swear.
Read 4 books
Again, one book a week is more than doable, provided that I get back into a routine with reading before bed. I’m hoping I’ll be able to read more on my commute and on my breaks at work.
Set up book cart properly
I’ve got way too many books, so I treat myself to a new book trolley from Hobbycraft. Unfortunately, the first one was faulty, so I have to set it all up again! Maybe they’re just not made to be filled with books fully.
Start 75 Soft
Yet another attempt at 75 Soft, but this time, it should finish nicely just before Christmas. I’ll be focusing on getting fit and healthy, hopefully, and in turn, I want to have more energy!
No phone before finishing AM routine
This is a habit that I need to break. My screen time is up by around 50% from what it used to be, thanks to TikTok, and I need to break up with my phone. The easiest way to do that is to not look at it until I finish my morning routine. This could be anything from 15 minutes to an hour. It’s actually easier when I’m heading to work or on a day trip because I only look at it to check my train is on time!
Get back into a routine with my new job
Whilst I’m only going to be working two days a week, that gives me five days most weeks for everything else. Ideally, that will be two days for client work, one day for blogging, one for relaxation and then one catch-up/hobbies/reset day. It won’t always work out like that, but it’s my general plan!
Stick to weekly resets
Speaking of resetting, I know that I won’t have to work Sundays at my new job (occasional Saturdays though). That gives me a full day to do my weekly reset. Whilst it won’t take me a full day, I can add in extra tasks each week as to what I need. One week might be cleaning heavy, the next might be for hobbies or planning.
Have 15 no-spend days
This isn’t a lot, but it’s half of the month. I need to cut back on my spending, especially as my new job isn’t as many hours as originally planned. An hour of every shift will basically be spent on train fares too, so I need to be conscious of what I’m buying.
Set up a content routine for my business
As I said earlier, my business content has been slim pickings in 2025, but we’re in the final quarter, so it’s time for a final push. The aim is two posts to socials every week and one blog post per month. It’s not a lot, but it should be manageable!
Post 2-3 blog posts a week
I also need to get on the blogging grind. By dedicating a day every week to writing, I should be able to get out two to three posts every week. However, it will take some organising, as I need to have a brainstorm and work out my content calendar first for the rest of the year.
