I’ve loved to read since I can remember. My dad got me into reading as soon as I was born I think! Only in the past couple of years, I’ve gotten into non-fiction and self-help books. I tend to go for books by celebrities I admire or anything on fashion, beauty, fitness or organisation: basically the main interests I have!

I know there’s been this wave of all sorts of celebrities releasing some sort of book but I will only ever buy the ones by people I am a huge fan of or admire immensely.

Lea Michele: Brunette Ambition

Since Glee, Lea has been a role model to me. To see a muscial theatre kid turn into a TV actress is inspiring to me. This book shows her journey through her various theatre roles, what she learnt in them and her time on Glee. She also touches on fashion, fitness and beauty; considering I’ve always been a fan of her style, this section was super exciting for me!

Lauren Conrad: Style

When I first discovered this book, I actually borrowed it from my local library. I’ve been following LC since she was on Laguna Beach and The Hills and she’s always been the most fashionable girl on the show (yes, even her first outfit she wore to Teen Vogue!) so as soon as I saw this on the shelf, I had to pick it up! My favourite thing about the book is you can tell it’s written by her. Sometimes these celebrity fashion books are full of tips about items that the celeb’s never worn; with LC, I’ve seen multiple photos of her wearing her favourite items. It’s a coffee table-top read for sure!

Lauren Conrad: Beauty

As well as her style, I’ve always been a fan of LC’s make-up/hair. She sticks to the same few looks for each of them so you know she has mastered them well! I love her step-by-step make-up looks because she always has the best face! Because she had mentioned beauty in her ‘Style’ book, I was unsure she’d be able to write a whole book on beauty but I was pleasantly surprised! There’s a whole host of looks for day and night too and it’s so much fun trying to recreate them!

Maria Menounos: The Everygirl’s Guide To Life

I’ll tell you now: this book is my Bible. Since I don’t believe in God, this is the perfect self-help book to get me through life. From organisation to beauty, fitness to career tips, this book literally has everything in it! I’d love for her to release a home/interiors book! It’s also great to see that a famous person uses cheaper products too; Maria really is an everygirl!

Maria Menounos: The Everygirl’s Guide To Diet and Fitness

After getting her first book, I decided to take a gamble and buy her fitness book. I don’t often buy fitness books as you can find most of the info online but because I loved her first book so much, I thought it was worth a shot! Maria reveals her nine major steps to losing weight; I personally love how she focuses mostly on getting healthy and fit, rather than skinny!

Anuschka Rees: The Curated Closet

This is the most recent non-fiction book in my collection but it’s fast become a favourite. If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know recently I’ve been decluttering and creating a capsule wardrobe and this book literally takes you through doing this step-by-step! I won’t lie to you, it’s time consuming to read this cover to cover and apply what you’ve learnt but genuinely, it’s worth it!
