Well, May was a bit all over the place and I’m not just talking about the weather! As you’ll see below, I spent a lot of time on the sofa! Let’s take a quick look at May 2023 in review.
A MONTH FULL OF SPORT
May was basically filled with sporting weekends and not much else! With the WSL, Women’s Champions League, and the Premier League, it ended up being a solid season for both Arsenal sides realistically. Then there was my usual rugby league (Super League and Challenge Cup), golf, and F1 all to watch too!
EUROVISION
One of my favourite nights of the year is always Eurovision. This year was particularly entertaining, yet I didn’t have that same love for any of the songs. Usually, there are a few standouts but not for me this year. I felt so sad for Mae Muller as she wasn’t as bad as the results suggested. However, the night itself was fab and I thought the UK did a great job of hosting on Ukraine’s behalf.
GETTING OUT OF THE HOUSE
It’s been quite some time since I worked out of the house. Sometimes, I’m super productive and get lots done. This time was the complete opposite. Despite having a lovely lunch out, Starbucks was playing awful dance music, which was definitely not the vibe for working. Even with headphones in, I just couldn’t concentrate. In fairness, I went in the afternoon, when usually I’d go in the morning. Definitely won’t be doing that again!
TITANIC THE MUSICAL PRESS NIGHT
I headed to my first press night of the year to see Titanic the Musical. Safe to say if you read my review, I was blown away. Seriously, if you can catch one of the tour dates, you really should. Hopefully, it will get a West End run at some point because it’s a magnificent production.
JUNE RESET
I probably said this last month but moving into June feels like a massive shift. I’ve enjoyed a slower May, feeling out what my routines are, and how my energy is on certain days. Life is basically just trial and error so I enjoy trying various challenges to see what works best for me. However, sticking with healthy habits first and foremost is my foundation.
And that’s a wrap on my May 2023 in review blog post. June really does feel like everyone is getting a bit more motivation so I hope to join them! Don’t forget to check out my Instagram and Twitter for my daily musings.
