May was a great month for media for me. I got swept up in the whole hockey romance genre and have been firmly planted there ever since. I’ve definitely got my reading bug back, as I make my way through a few book series. It’s always exciting to discover a new author, especially if they turn standalone books into a series! Let’s get right into my May 2026 media wrap-up.
BOOKS
I got through the remainder of Elle Kennedy’s books in May, and re-read The Deal after watching the Amazon Prime series (more on that later). Despite being in the minority, The Charlie Method is still one of my favourites! I really love the dynamic between Charlotte, Will and Beckett, and if a throuple works for them, why not?
One of my favourite reads of the month was Worth the Scandal by E.L. Moran. It’s the first rugby league romance that I’ve ever read, and it seemed more realistic than other sports romances that I’ve read. I can’t wait for the follow-up in June.
The next book series I’ve started is DC Stars by Chelsea Curto. I managed to get through the first two in May on Kindle Unlimited. Now I’m on the hunt for the paperbacks with the sprayed edges from The Works! I love how all of the characters feature in every book, and then they get their own signature story later on in the series.
Books read in May 2026:

- Good Boy – Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen
- The Deal – Elle Kennedy

- Face Off – Chelsea Curto
- Power Play – Chelsea Curto
TV
I fell hard for the Off Campus hype, and right now, I’ve seen it four times. It’s such a nostalgia kick for those of us who were One Tree Hill fans back in the day. I have the biggest crush on Garrett Graham (tall, brunette and athletic is so my type), but Belmot Camelli has made TV Garrett so much better than book Garrett. Ella Bright also did an amazing job as Hannah Wells, and their chemistry is off the charts. I could do a deep dive into how much I love the show, and I’m sure I’ll be rewatching it again soon (having withdrawal symptoms already).
I’m in such an Off Campus bubble that I had to check my TV Time app to see if I watched anything else! It turns out that I watched season 8 of Chicago PD earlier in the month, before I fell into the Off Campus hole. Did you know that I’m obsessed with Off Campus?
TV watched in May 2026:
- Off Campus x4
- Chicago PD season 8
And that’s everything for my May 2026 media wrap-up. I’m sure I’d have watched and listened to other stuff if it wasn’t for Off Campus. I feel like I’m watching Gossip Girl or Glee for the first time, the last two shows I was truly obsessed with back in my teenage days. I might be 33, but this show has a chokehold over me (and the books, too).
