It’s been around two months since I last did a ‘weekly’ Sunday diaries post so this will be a longer catch-up this week! It’s so crazy to think that we’re nearly in November and for me, only seven working weeks left of 2021. Between now and then, my sole focus is client work and putting myself first a bit better. First, let’s have a catch-up in the Sunday Diaries 008.
TRAVEL
September started off with a five day trip to the Peak District with my parents, one of my favourite places to visit. The best part was exploring the small towns and villages in the area and getting a much-needed break from work. The fresh air certainly helped too!
Following that, I had a couple of day trips to Sheffield before an overnight stay in London a couple of weeks ago. It’s the first time I’ve been since March 2020 and I’ve definitely missed it. It was a tad overwhelming so I’m glad I just dipped my toes in with a one night stay! I’m going for four nights in January for a stagey trip where I’ll be trying to see 8 shows in 4 days. Wish me luck!
THEATRE
As you saw above, my day trips to Sheffield were for theatre, my first visits since March 2020! My first trip was to see the Heathers tour before returning a week later to watch Matthew Bourne’s The Midnight Bell, both at the Lyceum.
On my London visit, I did a double show day, seeing The Last Five Years matinee before it closed the week after, followed by Six. It’s the second time I’ve seen Six on a Sunday evening because it’s pretty much the only thing on! Reviews for all four will follow over the next couple of weeks so look out for those!
BUSINESS
I’ve just been cracking on with work over the last two months and have also taken some time off social media. In fact, I’ve not posted on my business Instagram account since the start of September. Oops! I’m hoping to up my workload for November so I can take off three weeks in December/January.
To get back into the social media world, I spent Friday planning my content for November and December. In one day, I got everything planned as well as two weeks of social media scheduled and two blog posts written. I’ve got to the point where I want to schedule content that I’ve enjoyed promoting but keeping it fun and educational too!
TV
When I haven’t been working, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. I’ve caught up with most of my US drama faves, I’m tweeting along with Strictly every week and I’ve nearly got through most of the seasons of Law and Order: SVU. I know I probably watch far too much telly but I enjoy it!
With Christmas not too far away, I’ve also recorded a handful of Hallmark Christmas movies. I’ll be aiming to watch as many as possible before the big day! I know the storylines are horrendous but they’re just so easy to watch! Last year, I watched quite a lot (here’s part 1 and 2) so I want to beat last year’s numbers!
2022 PLANNING
I’ve also taken some time to think about my big goals for 2022. I have a habit of setting too many goals so I’m taking it back to basics next year. My big goal is to save as much as possible to go into my house fund. I’m so desperate to own my own home so everything I do will be focused on that!
Because of that, I have big plans for both my business and blogs so need to spend some time setting everything up and getting on top of it first! I’ll reveal more about my plans when I’ve actually got them down on paper but I’m excited to create the content!
And that’s a wrap on the Sunday Diaries 008 until next week’s installment. I’m hoping to keep up with a weekly series but as we know, my blogging is sporadic at the best of times! To keep up with everything going on, give me a follow on Instagram!
