The first Sunday diaries of 2022 is here! It’s been one of those weeks where I’ve tried to ease myself back into work, celebrate small wins and figure out what I want 2022 to look like. Let’s have a closer look at my week in the Sunday Diaries 012.
BACK TO WORK
After three weeks off, I’m slowly starting to get back into the swing of things. I’ve made more money in one week than I did in an entire month during some of 2021 so I know I have the capacity to earn more. I’m not back on social media for another week so hopefully, I can get even more work done before returning.
CANCELLED LONDON TRIP
On Thursday, I was meant to be on my way to London for a five day trip. However, the Covid rates in London are pretty high and I don’t feel ready to be travelling around. I managed to move my hotel to another date for a fee, exchange two theatre tickets, get a credit note for one and sell another. All I’m waiting to hear from are the train company and one theatre ticket company. Minimal problems was certainly a plus!
NEW COACHING PROGRAMME
In 2021, I spent a lot of money on various low-ticket memberships and had too many to balance at any one time. This year, I wanted to work in smaller group programmes and not necessarily focus on work. When I saw about Sophie Cliff‘s The Intentional Year, I was immediately drawn to it. I’m in a place where I want to discover myself outside of my work. I’ve done a few of Sophie’s workshops before and I love her friendly approach. Now I’m excited to get stuck in properly!
NEW NAILS
Gone are the Christmas nails and back in are the regular but funky nails. Treating myself to a new set of gels every three weeks is my way of self-care. Both myself and my nail tech, Ellie, can’t believe how much my nails have grown in the six months I’ve been visiting her!
SINKING FUNDS
This is a big year for me in terms of saving money. That’s why I’ve set up a handful of ‘sinking funds’ to save smaller amounts regularly. Basically, every time I finish a book, TV show, film, beauty product etc, I stick £1 into its pot. It might not seem like a lot but it will build up. I’m also saving £1 per no-spend day so hopefully that will rack up the quickest of them all!
