I’m surprised that I didn’t watch that much in March but most of these shows have 22-24 episode seasons, which is a lot! Even though I don’t think it’s a lot, it often looks like a lot to you all! Here’s what I watched in March 2025.
Gossip Girl s6
I’ve finally finished the original Gossip Girl and I forgot how much I really don’t like the last season. It’s nice that all of the main characters stayed on the show (the core five) but the Ivy and Rufus storyline is gross, Nate dating someone under 18 is gross and the whole Bart Bass rising from the dead plot is ridiculous. I’d also forgotten just how annoying and unlikeable they made every character, apart from Dorota (we love her).
Law and Order s21
This is the first season of the reboot and I’m not sure I enjoyed it that much. I can’t really remember any of the storylines at all and it’s only been a month. The best episodes are usually the crossovers because that means Olivia Benson makes an appearance. I liked that Detective Bernard returned but now he’s leaving after this season!
Law and Order: Organized Crime s1+2
This is probably my least favourite of the Law and Order universe, mostly because I’m not the biggest fan of Stabler. I liked him on SVU in the early days but I hate the Benson-Stabler teaser romance. One thing I do like about OC is that they have one major storyline per season so you see the full case unfold as Stabler goes undercover. It makes it easier to follow than one plot per episode in most Law and Order shows.
SVU s15+16
I’m slowly getting through every season of SVU in 2025 and hope to be done by the summer. Right now, I’m about halfway through. Although I’m watching every season, I’m not necessarily watching them from season one to twenty-six. I’ve just got through seasons 15 and 16, Season 15 is sad because both Munch and Cragen leave the show and they have a few funny moments as a duo. However, season 16 is my favourite because we get to meet my two all-time favourite male characters, Barba and Carisi. As much as I like the earlier seasons, the later ones are better to me!
Drive to Survive s5
Another show I’m trying to finish is Drive to Survive. It’s my daytime show when I’m working at my desk on my blog writing days. I’m a big F1 fan but DTS is a little dramatic at times. I like getting to know some of the drivers at the bottom end of the grid because you don’t get to see them during race week as much.
Chicago Fire s1+2
Now I’ve finished Gossip Girl as my night-time DVD, I’ve gone back to my one true love: the One Chicago universe. Fire is without a doubt my favourite of the quartet of shows, especially the earlier seasons. It loses me a bit when Mills, Otis and Dawson leave the show. However, I still stick around for Hermann, Mouch and Cruz. The later seasons revolve around Stellaride, who I like as a couple, but I always like to see more of the other characters.
Center Stage
My all-time favourite movie is Center Stage and because I’ve not watched it in months, it was time to watch it again! It’s the movie I put on when I’m feeling a bit down or need some motivation. I’d put it up there with She’s the Man, two films nobody will ever watch with me. That’s because I quote them non-stop during the film and in my daily life. If you’re a Center Stage fan, we are automatically best friends!
And that’s everything what I watched in March 2025. A lot of these shows are similar, i.e. US emergency services or crime dramas, but I always go through phases with TV shows. I also have a habit of watching a few seasons before starting something else!
