When I looked back at what I watched in October 2023, I realised it wasn’t as much as I thought it had been! However, I still enjoy writing these blog posts for you and it’s a chance to find a new TV show.
DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS: MAKING THE TEAM SEASONS 9+10
It might be cringey but it’s one of my all-time favourite shows. It’s so hard to find on British TV so when I saw MTV showing it, I had to record every episode on my Sky+ box. I’ve now got over six seasons recorded and doubt I’ll be deleting them anytime soon.
LAW & ORDER: SVU SEASONS 18+23
I’m so close to rewatching every SVU season in 2023. Unfortunately, seasons 1-3 haven’t been shown on UK TV this year but I’ve watched every season since. Currently, I’m about halfway through season 24 and it’s still just as gripping as it ever was. I’m sure I’ll restart my binge-watch in 2024!
GILMORE GIRLS SEASON 2+3
Because I’m old-school, I’ve been watching Gilmore Girls on DVD. I love the earlier seasons, purely because Rory is a little more tolerable. She’s such a sweet school kid! However, I have to watch the first few episodes of season 4 on Netflix because I loaned out my box sets before and someone scratched the disc!
THE VAMPIRE DIARIES SEASON 1
Instead of continuing with Gilmore Girls, I decided I wanted to watch something spooky around Halloween. It’s been some time since I rewatched The Vampire Diaries and I forgot how good the first season is! I’ve still never gotten past the first few episodes of season 5 though! I’ll switch between these two shows in the lead-up to Christmas.
STRICTLY COME DANCING
So I’ve been boycotting watching the show live because of the TERF. However, now she’s left, I can finally watch it live. I’m not into this series as much as in previous years but the standard is still great. Layton and Ellie are my frontrunners! I’m still a Strictly geek though so I’m always open to chat about it!
THE GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF
Again, I’ve not watched this series live but I’ve been recording the episodes on the Sky+ box. It always feels like autumn is officially here when both GBBO and Strictly are back on the telly! In this series, Rowan was my favourite contestant (purely because he’s from Yorkshire) but I’m obsessed with Saku. She has the best one-liners this year!
That was a short but sweet list of what I watched in October 2023. I’m sure these lists will get longer as we get into cosy season though. I pretty much live indoors for November and December! Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter and Instagram too.
