Wow, that was a month, wasn’t it? January is usually my favourite month of the year: all the goal setting, it’s my birthday month and I love all that ‘New Year, New start’ stuff. I’m a Capricorn so I’m a sucker for setting an intention or two. Before I get straight into my 10 goals for February 2022, let’s have a look back at January first.
JANUARY GOALS
Save £500
I saved just under £400, which in a month on my current income is amazing! As the year goes on, I’m hoping to earn more money and that, in turn, should increase my savings. Whilst I didn’t achieve this goal, I’m not too disheartened.
Have 20 no-spend days
Again, I didn’t quite reach this goal but I got to 17. Even though I cancelled my London trip, I had to spend money moving it to April, depsite getting refunds/exchanges on most parts. I did spend quite a lot in January so hopefully, February will be less spendy.
eBay everything!
DONE. Not eBay but I did add everything to Vinted instead. It’s a slow process of adding and selling stuff but if it’s not gone by the end of Feb or so, it’s going to the charity shop.
Finish 2 chapters of eBook
Having started going through my eBook chapters, I got sidetracked with everything else. They’re half-done but I need to go through them again.
Update SEO on 8 old blog posts
Another no. My blog has taken a big backseat in January. That’s okay though as my focus was elsewhere!
Fill in journals and habit tracker daily
Another that I’ve made progress on but not fully completed. I journalled most weekdays and updated my habit tracker about 70% of the time. Some days, I just couldn’t be bothered!
Finalise winter capsule wardrobe
I think I gave up on my winter capsule but I had a little rejig of my wardrobe and drawers, got rid of some items and reorganised my clothes. It feels much easier to see everything now!
Watch 8 musical DVDs
Another big fail, I didn’t watch one! I was very big on box sets this month as Pretty Little Liars sort of took over my life. I forgot how good/cheesy it was and was hooked all over again. I’ve nearly finished it completely so I’ll start something else next.
Read 8 books
I managed three but I didn’t read that much before bed in January. I want to start working on my evening routine more and winding down before 10pm so I have time to read!
Use Duolingo daily
DONE! I’m really pleased with the progress I’m making and have not missed a day yet. It’s been fun to learn a previous skill again and take time out of my day to improve my brain.
JANUARY RECAP
10 – Number of TV series watched
4 – Number of films watched
1 – Number of theatre trips (The Snow Maiden)
5 – Number of blog posts written
6 – Number of empties
3 – Number of books read
640 – Number of pages read
FEBRUARY GOALS
I feel like February is a great time to start a fresh. I took January at a slower pace and with the Lunar New Year, a New Moon and 2/2/22 all happening at the start of Feb, it feels like a good time to start again. Here are my 10 goals for February 2022.
Save £600
Again, I’m setting this goal again but increasing it. I have an income target for the month and where every penny is going. £600 is more than I saved last month so I’ll be trying even harder to make it a reality!
Have 20 no-spend days
With a shorter month, that gives me two spend days every week. That seems manageable, right? I have a couple of theatre trips over the next week or so so I’ll be trying to make those days as low-spend as possible.
Finish first week of eBook
My eBook is going to be a challenge of some sort so I want to get the first week completed. I’m carving out time in an evening in February so I can actually get it written!
Use Duolingo daily
Another goal that I want to continue is Duolingo. I’m going for another daily usage target because I want to make it into a habit. Hopefully, I can learn even more French!
Read 8 books
Yet again, I’m aiming for 8 books in February. Two a week seems achievable so hopefully, working on my evening routine will pay off.
Start 90 day plan/challenge
I’m going on a bit of a health kick as I look to gain more energy and feel fitter. I’m still finalising the plans but I’ll be doing a big ol’ blog post about it before I start officially!
Get my Asana as organised as it can be
My Asana is still a bit all over the shop so I want to spend some time one week really getting it organised properly. I’ll be doing a bit of research on the features and seeing if the paid version is worth it or not!
Cook 4 new recipes
I enjoyed cooking in 2021 so I want to continue down that path. Also, I need to increase my protein and vegetable intake so I want to find recipes to aid that. I mostly cook Asian food because it’s so tasty but let me know if you’ve got any amazing recipes you’ve tried and tested!
Daily journalling and habit tracking
Another goal to continue with. Journalling in the morning sets me up for the day, journalling on an evening lets me relax properly. My habit tracker app is so useful too because I love to track my progress!
Set up content plans for blogs
I have more client work than ever, which has meant my blogs have taken a backseat, including my business website and socials. I’m hoping that now I’ve structured my client work better, I can incorporate my blogs back into my schedule. Fingers crossed!
There are my 10 goals for February 2022 as I look to kickistart 2022 once again. January was a one month free trial, wasn’t it? Follow along with my journey on Twitter and Instagram.
