TGIF, thank god it’s February! January was definitely not the finest month ever for me but I do love it because I celebrate my birthday. I turned 31 on the 14th but I’m coining 2024 my 30+1 year because I’m basically restarting my thirties again. Anyway, here are my 10 goals for February 2024.
JANUARY GOALS RECAP
Before I get into my 10 goals for February 2024, I’ll first recap my January goals.
Read 4 books
Definitely not. I’ve managed to finish one book in the entire month. That’s why I’m making it a massive priority in February. I will become a reading girlie once again!
Go to the cinema 4 times
DONE. In fact, I’ve been five times. You’ll see below which films I’ve seen and I’ve got more booked in and planned for February. I’ve seen films that I wouldn’t have normally seen if I’d been paying £10 a visit!
Get back into morning workouts
Another no. In fact, I’ve not worked out once. We’ll try again next month.
Aim for 20 NSDs
I’m a bit disappointed with this one but I’ve only managed 18, which is still good but not what I aimed for. However, because I have my cinema pass now, I treat myself to lunch out and a hot chocolate at the retail park nearby. From now on, I’ll plan out my spending even more and give myself a little more leeway.
Stick to January budget
DONE. Whilst I might not have stuck to my no-spend days fully, I spent about £200 less than I had budgeted for. I was under budget on both of my day trips out of town and didn’t buy as much random stuff as I’d budgeted for.
Pay tax bill
DONE. I paid on Friday 26th and now it’s time to save for the next one.
Try deep work for 3 hours a day
I’ll be honest, my work schedule was all over the place in January. However, I’ve come to accept that January will always be quieter work-wise for me. That means I can have an entire month of fun and planning!
Plan Q1 content
DONE. I have a rough content plan for my blog posts for quarter 1. It’s not set in stone but it’s a guide to have in place so I’m not stuck for ideas!
Get 1 week ahead with blog content
This is a no. I should’ve done this when business was slower but alas, I didn’t. Hopefully, I can work towards this in February and beyond.
Enjoy my birthday month!
DONE. I’ve seen films, gone to theatre shows, visited new eateries, travelled to other cities, and relaxed a lot! It’s been nice to ease into the year for sure!

10 GOALS FOR FEBRUARY 2024
Now that January is all wrapped up, it’s time to set my 10 goals for February 2024.
Start the 75 soft challenge
My healthy habits went out of the window in January, which is why I want to give myself a challenge. 75 Hard is too hard, considering I never work out. I’ll be adapting 75 Soft for what I need (maybe I’ll share a blog on it) and will be starting on the 5th.
Read 4 books
February is when I get back on my reading game. You’ll see further down my main plan to do this but I’d love to add it in to my lunchtime break too. I tend to stick the TV and eat lunch on the sofa so instead, I’d like to switch it up and sit at the table with a book.
Declutter the spare bedroom/my home office
This will get done this month because I cannot deal with the mess any longer! It’s been on my to-do list since December and February is when it gets a full declutter. I’ve tidied up the odd shelf here and there but the entire room needs a sort-out.
Have a laptop-free day every week
This is something I’d love to do, ideally on a Saturday. I usually spend the day running errands but I’d love to stay off my laptop in the evening too. Maybe I’ll finally get around to making some friendship bracelets or just sit and read for hours!
Stick to weekly meal planning + prepping
If I’m going to get fit and healthy, I need to meal plan and prep on a weekly basis. Friday nights are the best time for me to plan because we go food shopping on a Saturday morning. I also want to prioritise meal prepping around my calendar too. For example, if I’m out during the day, having a meal pre-cooked ready to heat up will save me from reaching for a pizza!
Wind down by 10pm on an evening
Ideally, I want to get this to 9pm but 10pm is a good starting point. This means putting my laptop away and starting my evening routine. I’m a simple girlie so it’s only skincare, pyjamas and reading but it could be the reason that my sleep’s been crap lately! Sticking to a simple routine should help me to wind down better!
Aim for 15 no-spend days
Usually, I aim for 20 but 15 is right for this month. I’ve got a couple of local press nights, a day trip to Leeds and I want to get to the cinema at least once a week. It’s a shorter month so 15 seems like a good number to aim for.
Have a low-spend month
With that being said, I want to have a low-spend month in February. January, whilst under budget, was spendy so February is a little quieter. Hopefully, I can increase my income too as I want to build on that every month.
Dedicate one morning a week to business content
This is something that I’m desperate to do because I need to get my business accounts back up and running. Usually, Monday mornings are an ideal time to write up captions and a blog post for the week but it could be another morning when I have less to do. I’m flexible on the day if needs be.
Dedicate one day a week to blog writing
Similarly to my business content, I need to get my blog schedules back on track. I want to be posting five times a week across three websites so I need to get a rhythm going! On my calendar, I was going to dedicate a night each week to a specific blog but I want to be on my laptop less in the evening! Instead, I want to incorporate my blogs into the daytime and treat them like a business finally!
That’s a wrap on my 10 goals for February 2024. I’m excited to get back on track this month, reset my healthy habits and focus on certain aspects of my life in more detail. You can find my other goals posts here. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter and Instagram to check in on my progress.
