April was a challenge, so I’m glad to see May is here. It’s a quieter month initially, as I have my new work contract, meaning more hours, until I have a fun end of the month planned! Here are my 10 goals for May 2026, but let’s recap April’s goals first.
APRIL GOALS RECAP
Increase analogue time
DONE-ISH. The only hobby that I’ve done consistently is reading. That’s because I’ve been reading on my commute and lunch breaks at work. However, I’ve barely journaled in any capacity or done any personal development work at all!
Finish Off Campus book series
DONE. And some! I managed to get through this series, plus the Briar U series, too. Now I’ve started the Campus Diaries series too. These hockey players are addictive to read about!
Digitise clothing on wardrobe app
Fail. I’m adding it to next month’s goals list when I actually have the time to declutter properly.
Maintain skincare + haircare routines
DONE. It’s far from perfect, but I’ve been able to stick to it somewhat. However, my hair seems to be getting greasier, so maybe I’m using all the wrong products!
Upload unwanted clothing to Vinted
Fail. Like I said above, I haven’t really decluttered my wardrobes yet, so I need to do that first!
Start using Prolific again
DONE. I haven’t got into a routine of using it daily, but I’ve had a couple of small payouts this month. All those pennies soon add up!
No spending on clothes in April
DONE. I have spent £12 on socks, but they were replacement items! I’m proud that although I’ve had my eye on some items, I’ve not actually bought anything.
Stick to April TEE + CBS content plans
Fail. I’ve done very little content for my business channels, because I’ve been picking up extra shifts at my part-time job. I also had to edit my blog content plan, although I’ve got May’s plan done, and have already started drafting up posts.
Finish business website
Another fail. I’ve had zero energy to do this on a night, and my days off have mostly been busy out of town, too. I hope to spend some time in May doing it, but we all know I’ll probably procrastinate on that, too!
Go through a business workshop or course
Fail. I just couldn’t decide which one I wanted to pick, and my brain is just not made for focused work right now.
10 GOALS FOR MAY 2026
Now that April is done and dusted, let’s look into my 10 goals for May 2026.
Read 6 books
After April’s amazing feat, I want to keep that momentum going! However, I’m under no illusion that I’ve been whizzing through Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus, Briar U and X series, because I’m excited for the TV series! Six books in a month is 1.5 a week, which is more than achievable. I’ve been trying to read on my commutes and breaks at work as well as before bed. That’s definitely contributed to my higher-than-average total for last month!
Save £600
This seems like a huge total, considering I only work part-time. However, I’m saving to move out/for a car, so saving is a necessity right now. I’ve even got a monthly plan of which accounts I’m saving certain amounts into, in order of importance. This challenge also requires me to increase my income, so I’ll be trying to side hustle much more, especially on my days off. I’ve got stuff to list on Vinted, a spare room to declutter, and surveys online frequently, too.
Get back into daily journaling
I was so good with this goal in Q1, but I’ve fallen completely off with this habit during April. Originally, I was trying to jot down a win for the day in each of the following categories: health/fitness, beauty, blog, biz, finances and hobbies. However, I noticed that I couldn’t write something down every day for each category. Maybe I’ll just aim for three categories per day instead?
Declutter the spare bedroom
I’ve not sat at my desk for quite some time, because it’s just become a dumping ground, much like the rest of my home office/spare bedroom. You can barely even get into the room to vacuum because there is stuff all over the place. With two Bank Holidays in May, I’m determined to have a proper declutter of the entire room, from books to stationery, and the extra wardrobe in there too!
Start working out again regularly
Now that I’m working three days a week, that means I have a spare four days a week to move my body. Sure, I won’t be working out every day, but I need to work out sometime. I have to stand all day at work, and it’s killing my back. That means I need to strengthen it as well as get my cardio up, too. That’s my focus for May anyway!
Stick to TEE blog schedule
Cutting my schedule down from three posts to two a week is meant to be more manageable. I need to utilise my workday evenings to write blog posts, so it gives me full days off. I’ve planned it out for the next month, aiming to post nine times in May (a bonus post is coming one week). Now I just have to stick to it!
Cut back on snacking + figure out my unhealthy eating habits
I spent a lot of April suffering or in pain. I’m sure I’m being a little dramatic, but I’ve had a few health things going on, and I need to get to the bottom of it all. That’s why in May, I’m going to try reducing my snacks, especially chocolate, and trying to work out what my trigger foods are. I’ll be meal planning every Sunday and meal prepping too for work days.
Aim for 15 no-spend days
I don’t think I’ll have as many no-spend days as usual, but aiming for 15 seems achievable. The month will be spendier towards the end of the month, with an overnight stay in Sheffield and a day trip to Manchester. The aim is to spend less earlier in the month to have more to spend at the end of it.
Get back into Project Panning my toiletries
I’ve already spent £210 on toiletries/beauty products this year, despite not really needing most of them. I’ve still got a four-drawer set full of toiletries that I need to use up. Over the weekend, I emptied all of the drawers out, set aside a pile to donate/sell, and took photos of every item. I want to tally up each item and its category to see just what I actually need! Then I can start a shopping list and avoid visiting Boots and Superdrug unless absolutely necessary!
Reduce email newsletters folder to less than 4000
This means clearing more than 1000 emails in the next month. I’m one of those people who loves to sign up to blogger/influencer/freelancer mailing lists, but I rarely read them and just move them to this folder. However, I just need them to go if I’m never really going to read them!
And that’s a wrap on my 10 goals for May 2026. I’m excited to feel a renewed energy in the air after the Bank Holiday weekend, and hoping that by decluttering my physical spaces, it might clear my mental space too!
