Did October fly by or was it just me? I feel like it was quite a challenging month, despite some good memories and highlights. As for November, I’m anticipating a lot of work focus with a sprinkling of fun. This time of year tends to be busier for work (hopefully) so here’s to my 10 goals for November 2022.
OCTOBER GOALS
Reach income goal
This definitely didn’t happen. I had a bit of a breakdown earlier in the month and considered applying for full-time work. I have these meltdowns every so often and then realise how much I love self-employment!
Update my biz website
Another no. I’ll keep adding this to my list every single month until I get it done!
Post consistently across all blogs
Oh, look, another fail. My slump meant I didn’t want to write at all.
Write 3000 words a day
As I said above, when I get in that funk, I don’t want to write, work-based and fun-based.
Prioritise healthy habits
Even my health went off track in October. I ate a lot of snacks, didn’t really work out and slept a lot. Maybe my body needed the rest!
Save 20% of every invoice
Another no. That tax bill is looming so I need to work on this.
No-spend month
I didn’t have a no-spend month but it certainly wasn’t the highest-spending month of the year. I made some clothes and stationery purchases at the end of the month but I do need to start saving a lot more.
Make £100 in side hustles
Unfortunately, I didn’t make any Vinted sales and I really put surveys and apps to the back of my mind. It’s so hard when you have 1000 things to do to spend ages doing surveys for like 10p!
Experiment with my schedule
This is one I have done. I’ve tried morning-focused work, afternoon-focused work, working out of the house for the morning (successful for me) and working only a couple of days a week (fun but not enough time to get things done).
Read 4 books
I only managed one book but more than some previous months!
OCTOBER RECAP
9 – Number of TV series watched (DCC:MTT s3, s5 + s6, Law and Order SVU s23, Law and Order Organized Crime s2, FBI s2+3, Gilmore Girls s1, and Grey’s Anatomy s18)

2 – Number of empties
17 – Number of no-spend days
1 – Number of books read
68 – Number of pages read
NOVEMBER GOALS
Now October is reviewed, let’s take a closer look at my 10 goals for November 2022.
18 no-spend days
Whilst no-spend months are more of a challenge, setting a goal for a number of no-spend days is easier. I do have a couple of days in London as well as a couple of other days out and beauty treatments. 18 days out of 30 for not spending is a challenge but still allows for 12 spending days, which equals three a week!
Project50 restart
After originally starting Project50 in August, I wasn’t in the right mindset and then got a back injury. I’ll be setting myself some guidelines but I also want to be a bit kinder to myself. By the time this post is live, I should be a couple of days into my challenge!
Keep up with weekly + monthly resets
I’ve become obsessed with watching monthly resets on YouTube. They’re basically just organisational and cleaning tasks but it’s more fun to pop them all in on one day and tackle them in one go. I’ve been creating my own weekly and monthly reset routines so maybe I’ll share them with you on the blog soon!
Create + schedule November/December content plans
I say this most months but I really want to be more consistent with blog posts. Ideally, I’d post three times a week on this blog, twice on my minimalism blog and once on my business blog. Unfortunately, life happens and I don’t have that much time. I’d love to just write the blogs and get someone to format them, sort out pictures and schedule them. If there’s such a freelancer who does this, let me know!
Write 5 client blog posts a week
Again, I need business to ramp up as we get to Christmas. Let’s face it, it’s an expensive time of year and January is when I turn 30 so I’ll be taking a fair bit of time off then too. Five blog posts a week isn’t too difficult but it is more than I’m doing right now.
Prep for Christmas/2023
This is quite a big goal but I want to get in early. If I do, I can relax a bit more over Christmas and New Year. A few tasks I want to do are:
- start Christmas to-do list i.e. jobs I always put off and finally find some time to do them
- write Christmas wishlist for my parents (yes, I’m still a child)
- set up planners + planning process for 2023 (I’m very thorough when it comes to planning)
- jot down routines I have + want to have i.e. streamline my life
Save 20% of every invoice
Tax bill time is coming up so I want to have my pot ready to pay it as soon as possible. I’ve already filed my tax return but hold off paying until the last minute. This is a goal that I always fall on and off with but now it’s November, the deadline is looming.
Use Google Calendar to plan week + time-blocking
I’ve been a bit lax when it comes to planning lately, which means I’ve been wasting quite a bit of time. For November, I’d like to try time-blocking again on Google Calendar. It’s always a rough guide but it’s nice to have something to work within.
Get one new business client
I’ve been very lucky to have got a couple of new clients in October but I’d like at least one more, especially in the lead-up to 2023. I’d rather have too many clients and have to outsource than not have enough work again.
Track writing for every project
I love writing and I love to track things. Adding the two together sounds perfect. I just want to see how much I can write in a day and challenge myself!
As you can see, October was a bit of a fail in terms of goals so I’m determined to be more focused than ever with my 10 goals for November 2022. Follow me on Twitter and Instagram to keep me accountable and follow my everyday life!
