With just two months left of the year, I really want to make the most of them. I’ve restarted Project 50 (to be completed just before Christmas) and want to push myself in all aspects of my life. However, I’m still leaning into slow living and routine. Here’s a look at my 10 goals for November 2023 but first, a recap of October.
OCTOBER GOALS
Before we look ahead to my 10 goals for November 2023, let’s quickly reflect on October’s goals.
Get a new job or client
DONE! I’m sticking with freelancing a little while longer because I managed to get not one but TWO clients in October! I’m helping out a fellow freelancer in her agency as well as a bigger marketing agency.
Schedule some business content
I’m so void of ideas when it comes to my biz content. I’m not sure if Instagram especially is worth it and who my audience is. Most of my followers are fellow marketers so I doubt they’ll be looking for a content writer!
Do some research into making Reels/TikTok videos
Another no. I just don’t have the time to make and edit videos right now. Maybe I will another time though. I might add it as a goal for 2024.
Workout every weekday
Oh look, another no. However, now I have my work life under control a bit, I want to start taking better care of myself, which starts with my health and fitness.
Get back to tracking habits
Again, as I said above. October was a bit of a rollercoaster so I’ll probably add this goal to November’s list again.
Read 4 books
DONE! I’ve managed four books in October as I really got back into the habit of reading before bed. I read some witchy chick lit and actually picked up a paperback book for the first time in ages. Thanks to The Works for their 3 for £6 deal!
Finish Gilmore Girls
This was very ambitious to get through over 80 episodes in one month. I’ve just finished season 3 and am actually taking a short break as I wanted something spooky to watch towards Halloween. That’s why I’ve started The Vampire Diaries again (I’ve never got past season 5). I’ll probably switch between the two for a while.
See the Eras Tour movie at the cinema
I didn’t see it in October but I have seen it this past week in November! I go to the cinema on my own so a weekday afternoon is the perfect time for me. The cinematography was a real treat and it was so lovely to just escape life for a couple of hours!
Sort out Notion and Asana
Another no but I think I’ve decided what I want each to focus on. Asana is all for my blogs and client work. Notion is more for personal stuff, from entertainment to habits and challenges.
Go on a big toiletry shop
DONE. I actually didn’t need as much stuff as I thought I did! However, I did manage to grab the few essentials that I needed to stock up on last weekend.

NOVEMBER GOALS
Now that October is done and dusted, let’s take a look at my 10 goals for November 2023.
Get into a new fitness routine
This is a big priority for me in November. I’ve had some version of a health/fitness goal on my goals list nearly every month in 2023. However, this is the month I actually move my butt. I’ve set myself the goal of working out three times a week (probably on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays).
Track my daily habits
As above, my well-being is a high priority for me in November. That includes both my physical health and my mental health, as well as taking care of my skin, hair, and brain. I’ve got my habit tracker app set up and ready to go. I’ll be tracking both daily habits but also those habits that I plan on doing a couple of times a week. I’ve also tied in restarting Project 50 too (it’s similar to the 12 Week Year but shorter).
Get ahead with December/January content
This year, I’d really like to take some time off around Christmas, and that includes blogging. However, that also means getting ahead with my content. Right now, I’m just writing posts as and when I want to post them. In order to take time off, I need to start writing in bulk a little more.
Start posting on Instagram again
If there’s one thing I’ve fallen out of love with in 2023, it’s social media. Sure, I still scroll all the apps but I rarely post on my feed or even on Stories. Instagram just feels draining to me. But I’ve been inspired by my content creator friends on the app and want to start posting more fun stuff, like a day in the life, regular stuff.
Have a proper wardrobe sort-out
It’s been a while since I went through my wardrobe and was really brutal about what I love and what I don’t love. I know there are a few pieces that I want to add to my wardrobe but it feels too full right now. When I’ve had a clearout, I need to get stuff uploaded onto Vinted pronto! Get that extra cash in before Christmas gets here!
Declutter the spare bedroom
Along with my wardrobe decluttering, I also want to do the same in the spare bedroom. It doubles up as my office too so there’s such a mixture of items in here, from stationery to books to lots and lots of junk. My side of the shelves is pretty tidy but there’s still some work to be done on it. There just seems to be so much stuff that doesn’t have a proper home.
Start baking again
If there’s one thing that I love when the weather gets worse, it’s baking at home. Since the pandemic, I’ve been more of a cook than a baker. However, I’m a sucker for a themed baked good. This year, I’ve been disappointed with the supermarkets’ selection of baked items so I might as well do them myself! In fairness, I mostly just bake cookies and brownies because that’s what I love to eat!
Write my minimalism book five days a week
This is a project that I started quite some time ago but never really took it seriously. Because of NaNoWriMo, I’ve joined a writing community for the next month so I can hold myself accountable. I’m aiming to write every weekday but will allow myself to drop one day during the week for a weekend! I’ve also found that having this as a night-time activity helps me wind down for the day.
Read 6 books
I need to step up my reading game or I won’t reach my GoodReads target for the year! However, I do tend to increase my reading heading towards Christmas, especially if I take time off work. I[‘ve got myself some cosy reads as well as Christmas books and am excited to read more!
Start organising for 2024!
It might seem a little early to be planning for 2024 but I like to get a head start. I want to travel around the UK a little more as well as plan more theatre trips, which is why I want to plan ahead. That’s meant purchasing a couple of new diaries and a calendar earlier than most and I’ve got multiple spreadsheets set up to help me stay organised with various aspect of my life.
And that’s a wrap on my 10 goals for November 2023. I’m excited to give myself a real push before Christmas, with work, blogging and my health/fitness. Let’s hold ourselves accountable to being our best selves before the New Year even starts!
If you enjoyed this post, I have a whole host of goals posts right here. You can also find me on Twitter and Instagram, where I’m hoping to share more content!
