Welcome to the Sunday Diaries! Inspired by Michelle‘s Sundaze series, I wanted to bring my blogging back to the old-school days with some diary entries. The Sunday Diaries will just be a quick round-up of what’s been going on in my week. Considering I work from home, rarely leave the house and watch a lot of TV, these might get tedious pretty quickly! Let’s get The Sunday Diaries 001 underway then.
I began my week by doing a tonne of planning. I’d originally planned on finishing up some client work but thought better of it. It’s not urgent so can wait! Instead, I sat down and had a think about what’s to come in July, August and September. I set my goals for the quarter and month, organised my budget for the month and did a little bit of organising my content calendars.
As you saw on Thursday, I’m setting up another blog all about money so now I have that content to plan as well as TEE and my freelance biz. That’s on top of client work too! To get all of this done, I’m trialling a new form of time blocking. I’m going to dedicate a half/full day per client so I can keep in that mindset continuously without dipping in and out of other tasks.
Tuesday was all about taking it easy and treating myself. After a long hot shower, hair mask and skincare routine, I headed to my local salon to get a luxury manicure. I’ve never had my nails done before because I usually bite them. However, I’ve been growing them for a month now. Ellie did an amazing job with the treatment and my nails look super cute!
I try to do some self-care every week but I’ve noticed that with an increasing workload, it’s the first thing to slip. Every day, I journal and read and that’s about the only two times I truly relax in a day! I’m definitely on board with changing that and upping my self-care game.
My biz bestie, Sarah-Lou, and I have decided to become accountability partners because we both need the motivation right now. We’ll be meeting up on Zoom every Monday to have a chat through life and business and give each other support when we need it! We’ve known each other for a while as we’re both members of a couple of memberships together. What better way to start the week than with a friendly face and a focus for the week?
All jabbed up
On Thursday, I managed to get my second Covid dose. I was starting to get worried as my GP hadn’t sent me a text to book a second jab in. With that, the text arrived!
I have to say that the vaccination centre was empty and I sailed right through. However, my Friday was spent feeling all the side effects. I had a storming headache all day, zero appetite (the complete opposite of Thursday when I couldn’t stop eating) and a fever all day. Even going for a 3-hour afternoon nap didn’t help much! I was completely wiped out for the entire day!
I hope you enjoyed The Sunday Diaries 001 as I’m hoping to make this a weekly occurrence now. Ideally, want to get back to blogging because I love to, not because I feel forced to!
