Welcome to the Sunday Diaries 002, following on from the first installment last week. This week has been a fairly quiet one as all I’ve done is work mostly! I mean, that’s not much different to most weeks as I’m a pretty boring individual! Keep reading to hear about my dull week…
Exciting times for my freelance biz: I have a new client. It’s someone I’ve known online for a while now and they need a helping hand with their content. We’re starting with a month’s trial because I’d rather them not commit if it’s not quite what they’re looking for.
I’m also waiting to hear back from another company about working with them on the blog so fingers crossed I’ll hear from them soon too!
Anyone else feeling completely demotivated when it comes to Instagram lately? I’ve spent the entire week with the app deleted, just visiting the desktop website occasionally. With my business IG, I’ve taken a full week off from posting on my feed, with the odd Story post when I can be bothered. I’m also disturbed by just how much time I spend on the app, which is why it had to go!
I’ve been struggling recently with how to market my business and which services/packages to prioritise. After talking it through with a few business buddies, I think I’ve decided on what I want to focus on. I’ll also be raising my prices to make sure my business is sustainable as I can’t see me doing any other job!
This was my third session of dermaplaning ever; the first in 2020 was amazing but the therapist moved away. The second session I had last month wasn’t great so I’ve found another lady (they’re hard to come by in East Hull). Luckily, she lives in the village so it’s only a ten-minute walk to her home salon.
It was the most thorough treatment I’ve ever had done; my face feels so soft and lush! She recommended I try a new skincare routine as I might actually be using too many products. The therapist made me feel so at ease and it was lovely to chat to someone face to face!
I’ve fallen behind lately on organising my time and schedule and I need to do something about. Instead of time-blocking per hour, I’m going to dedicate each day to a client or blog. For example, I spend my Wednesdays on co-working calls so that can be a day when I work on my own business, writing blog posts, scheduling social media and organising. Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be my two big client days where I’ll stay in that mindset for the day. It’ll be nice to break up my week with professional and personal writing too!

With that, the Sunday Diaries 002 is complete! As I told you at the start, this week wasn’t terribly exciting! To keep up with my exciting life, join me on Twitter or Instagram where I share my mundane days.
