Surprisingly, I didn’t watch as much TV as I thought I had in March. Despite not having many plans, I watched long seasons of TV shows and found myself watching YouTube more often than not. That doesn’t mean I didn’t watch anything. Here’s what I watched in April 2023.
I will say that I did watch other stuff, such as sports, but I can’t include every single match I’ve watched or these posts would never end! Also, I only include TV shows/films that I’ve also finished, rather than halfway through watching. I don’t count them on my monthly watchlist unless I’ve completed the series!
CHICAGO FIRE S7-9
I’m so close to the end of my Chicago Fire catch-up (season 10 is nearly done) and it’s still as addictive as it ever was to me. Sure, there are some very sad moments with my favourite characters leaving or getting killed off, but they still manage to make it great. Now I just need to catch up in real-time to the current US episodes! I still don’t think I’ll ever prefer the later seasons to the earlier ones (Mills is my all-time favourite character) but they’re still good.
LAW & ORDER: SVU S6
I’d say this is one of my favourite SVU seasons, just because everyone gets at least one episode centred on their character. There are a tonne of celebrity cameos too, mostly before they were super famous. Abigail Breslin, Amanda Seyfried, Jennette McCurdy, Hayden Pannettiere, and Martin Short are just a few of the names. One episode even has Bradley Cooper, Angela Landsbury, AND Rita Moreno in it! There’s no surprise that Mariska Hargitay won the Golden Globe this season!
BURLESQUE
Judging by people’s reactions on Twitter, I’m not alone in loving this musical! In fact, when I tweeted about making it into a musical, it was my most popular tweet of the year so far. The songs are so catchy, some of the catchiest of modern musicals if you ask me. The film casting is also exceptional. I mean, Cher, Christina Aguilera, Julianne Hough, Kristen Bell, Stanley Tucci, and Alan Cumming are all in there. That’s before mentioning McSteamy from Grey’s Anatomy, and The OC’s Sandy Cohen and Volchok (my fave). If it makes it to the stage, it will become my entire personality.
And that’s a wrap on what I watched in April 2023. It’s not an extensive list but sometimes, quality is better than quantity! I’m writing this on 2nd May and I’ve already finished two series and started a third. Hopefully, May will be better for entertainment!
