March was quite a slow month so I watched a lot of TV. I’d say it’s my favourite hobby, which might be quite sad, but it makes me happy! Often, I’ll stick to an older box set whilst I’m blogging. I find newer shows harder to watch because I need to give them my full attention! Nevertheless, here’s what I watched in March 2023.
TV
FBI Most Wanted seasons 2-3 (Sky Witness)
For some reason, I couldn’t originally get into Most Wanted until now. However, the team is very different in seasons 3-4 than it is in season 1. I miss Jess, Kenny, and now Ortiz! I’m pretty much staying for Hana and Barnes; they deserve more storylines! These sorts of shows work because the core of the show stays the same!
Chicago Fire seasons 5-6 (DVD)
As you all know, I’m making my way through the #OneChicago series (I’ll watch PD next, then Med and Justice). We’re getting to that point when all of my favourites start to leave/get killed off so I definitely struggle to keep watching. However, I will keep persevering with it because I do like some of the newer storylines.
Law and Order: SVU seasons 21-22 + 4-5 (5USA)
Another show I go through every year is SVU. Whilst it’s not exactly a comfort show, I can just have it on in the background when working/writing/blogging. Because it’s not streaming online anywhere, I record whatever seasons are on 5USA and Sky Witness. I’ve managed to get through four seasons in March, purely because I had a few lazy sofa days.
Big Night of Musicals (BBC)
Musical theatre needs to be on primetime weekend TV much more often! I loved that this year featured more tours than West End shows and had a range of musicals, with something for everyone. There were a few that I’ve seen before, a few that I’ll be seeing in 2023, and a couple that aren’t for me. But that’s okay, we don’t have to love every show out there!
Equals (UEFA)
This is a six-part documentary all about Euro 2022, following the journeys of lots of players before/during the tournament. Of course, it was nice to see my England and Arsenal players but it was interesting to see the backgrounds of other players that I’m less familiar with (because they don’t play in the WSL). The rise of women’s football needs to be respected and it’s only going to get bigger and better.
MOVIES
What’s Love Got to Do With It? (Cinema)
If you read my March review, you’ll see that I treat myself to a solo date day. After working in a coffee shop for a couple of hours, I bought some snacks and took myself to the cinema. It’s been years since I last went and I forgot how much I loved it! The film itself was okay but it’s not something I’ll be rushing to purchase.
Did you enjoy what I watched in March 2023? Anything that you’ve been watching or are adding to your watchlist? I need to start sharing what I’m watching over on Instagram and Twitter more too!
