Crikey, it’s my twelfth and final set of monthly goals for the year! I really don’t feel like I’ve been that productive this year but I still like having something to aim for. Here are my 10 goals for December 2023 as well as my review on November.
NOVEMBER GOALS
Before we look at my 10 goals for December 2023, let’s have a look back at November first.
Get into a new fitness routine
A massive no. I think I managed one workout in the whole of November. It’s something I really need to focus on at some point soon because my body aches whenever I get out of bed in the morning. And not in a ‘pain from yesterday’s workout’ kind of way!
Track my daily habits
DONE. Sure. I’ve not met them all every single day but I’ve been updating my habit tracker app every day. The next step is to actively work towards reaching every habit every day!
Get ahead with December/January content
DONE. I’m not as far ahead as I’d like but I do have quite a few either sat in my drafts or in my blog notebook. I’m excited for all the organisation content coming soon.
Start posting on Instagram again
Another no. However, I want to play around with it in December before actually planning out my content in January. If I want to take my blog to the next level, I have to focus on short-form content more.
Have a proper wardrobe sort-out
DONE. I’ve got a couple of material bins full of clothes to put on Vinted as soon as I can be bothered. I also managed to pack away my summer clothing and pyjamas so I have more wardrobe space.
Declutter the spare bedroom
Not done but I’ve moved it to December instead. I’ll be taking a fair chunk of time off over Christmas so that’ll be the perfect time to declutter and tidy the spare bedroom/home office.
Start baking again
Another no. However, since watching a load of Christmas movies, I hope to do this more in December instead. I bloody love a themed bake!
Write my minimalism book five days a week
I did really well with this for a week or so. Then I couldn’t muster up the motivation to write every night. I’m sure I’ll finish it eventually but maybe not push myself too hard with it!
Read 6 books
I only managed to read 2 books and one of those I only finished on the very last day of November! Never mind, I’ll try again next month!
Start organising for 2024!
DONE. I got my calendar and diary for next week and I’ve started setting up my Notion for 2024 too. There’s nothing I love more than getting organised so I’m already looking ahead to the new year!

DECEMBER GOALS
Now that November is done, let’s look at my 10 goals for December 2023 now. They’re pretty fun for me this month!
Get prepped for 2024
Whilst I have started prepping, I’ve still got quite a bit to do. I need to set my goals, budget, and travel plans for 2024 as well as my Notion, Asana, habit tracker, and various spreadsheets. Yes, I probably go too far with organisation but it makes me happy and keeps me sane! Plus it’s a pretty inexpensive hobby of mine.
Have a digital declutter
Here, we’re talking social media following, external hard drive, and my Internet favourites. It’s something I have a quick go at about once a quarter but when I have more time at Christmas, I like to be more thorough. I detest clutter and when it comes to anything digital, having more stuff on your devices slows them down! My laptop is getting slower and probably needs replacing soon but if I can hold off just a little while longer, it gives me a chance to save up!
Set up winter capsule wardrobe
Every quarter, I do a mini wardrobe sort-out, have a rejig of my clothes and set up a new capsule wardrobe. Because I track my wear count, I know what’s worked the past season. For example, in autumn, I had a bunch of short-sleeved tops in my capsule yet I’ve barely worn any of them. It’s been so cold since mid-October so I’ve been reaching for long sleeves and sweatshirts much more instead.
Watch as many Christmas movies as possible
Right now, I’m on 19, which is a lot for just a couple of weeks of viewing. I know Hallmark movies aren’t exactly groundbreaking cinema but they’re sweet and cute and make great background noise over the festive season. I’d love to watch some 2023 releases but they’re harder to find on UK TV!
Finish the Vampire Diaries
I’m up to season six right now, which is the furthest I’ve ever got with the show. I don’t think I’m enjoying the later seasons as much as the first couple of seasons though. However, I’m determined to get through it finally! I’m sorry but I’ll always be team Stefan. Damon is very handsome but he’s such a dick. I will say that Tyler is my favourite guy though, he always has been!
Declutter the spare bedroom/home office
As I said earlier, I’m carrying this one over. In December, I should have a little more time to do it plus it might keep me warm moving around the spare room for a few hours! Because it’s the spare bedroom/home office/junk room, it houses so many different things. I’d just be happy to get rid of even 10% of the stuff in there!
Read 10 books
I need to read 10 books to reach 50 for the year. It’s a massive ask but I hate failing. With time off work, I should have more time to read. I may just cheat and read some of my favourite books or some shorter non-fiction books. However, I have quite a few Christmas/winter books on my Kindle that I’d love to get through.
Get ahead with December/January blog content
I’ve carried this goal over from November so I can keep getting a little further ahead every week. First, I’ll aim for a week in advance and then slowly try to get more planned earlier. Of course, it’s hard with theatre reviews and travel plans but I could have a handful of pre-written content for spare days.
Reboot TEE Instagram
I say this every month but I need to get back on track and start planning it again properly. If I can get my blog content organised, I can repurpose that. However, I’m not sure if I’d rather go down the old-school route and just take more pictures of my daily life.
Start working on updating my business website
If there’s one thing that I’m annoyed at myself with in 2023, it’s not pushing my business more. That starts with my website. Firstly, I need to actually edit my packages and then the website pages. After that, it’s time to start planning out my blog and social media content too.
That’s a wrap on my 10 goals for December 2023 blog post. As you can see, my December goals are more fun than work as I’m aiming to take around a month off from client work! Hopefully, that will give me time to work on my blogs and other writing projects.
If you enjoyed my 10 goals for December 2023, you can find my other goals blog posts here. Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter and Instagram too. I hope to be more active on them both!
