Is anyone else feeling a little more optimistic now February is over? I don’t know whether it’s because the days are getting brighter or that spring is on the way but I feel ready. Ready to sort my shit out and live my best life. After we’ve recapped February, we’ll look at my 10 goals for March 2024.
FEBRUARY GOALS RECAP
Start the 75 soft challenge
Fail. However, I’m giving myself grace with this goal because I had a horrendous cold for over two weeks! That’s why I’ve moved it across to March.
Read 4 books
DONE. I’ve managed to get through five books in February by re-reading my favourite book series, the I Heart books by Lindsey Kelk. Right now, I’m onto book six and hope to finish the last three in March.
Declutter the spare bedroom/my home office
Another fail. At Easter, I want to give myself the time to do this again properly. That way, I’ll have a free long weekend to fully take everything out and only keep what I need and use.
Have a laptop-free day every week
I didn’t do this but I do this once every 2 weeks. I took 2 Saturdays away from my laptop and it was lovely. Because of this, I ran errands, watched a lot of TV and just chilled out!
Stick to weekly meal planning + prepping
DONE. Whilst I didn’t stick to it 100% every day, I did plan out my potential meals so I knew what to prep in advance. I’ve been trying to cook bigger meals so I can have leftovers the following day.
Wind down by 10pm on an evening
DONE. Sure, I’ve not done this every single night but I’ve definitely improved my evening routine. It’s nothing complicated but it’s working for me. Doing my skincare routine, brushing my teeth and reading before going to sleep. It all helps me to relax and have a better night’s sleep.
Aim for 15 no-spend days
DONE. I managed 21 no-spend days, which is incredible! I’d planned to work out of the house a little more but instead, I stayed at home. Maybe being ill had one perk after all!
Have a low-spend month
DONE. I’m really glad that I managed to stay under budget in every category in February. My income was lower than usual, which was obviously a factor though. It does prove that I do just spend money frivolously usually!
Dedicate one morning a week to business content
Fail. I’ve basically given up on posting business content. I’m feeling so uninspired by it right now so I’d rather focus on blogging and client work.
Dedicate one day a week to blog writing
Fail. Again, February was a bit of a crap month for motivation for me so blogging also went out of the window. There’s always March.

10 GOALS FOR MARCH 2024
Plan for Q2
I’ve pretty much resigned to the fact that Q1 has been a write-off so far. I’m using March as a trial month before kick-starting my year in April. If I can get a couple of things organised in March, such as work and money, I’ll feel a whole lot better heading into Q2. I still want to plan out my content, social plans and travel for Q2 though!
Spend the Easter weekend decluttering
This has been on my list since December but the Easter weekend is when I get it done finally. I’ll have at least 4 days to do it because I never do anything else over the Easter weekend anyway. My plan is to take everything out, sort through it and make it a tidy space to work from.
Try 2 new eateries
So far, I’ve tried 6 new eateries in 2024 but I’m also trying to save money. Two seems like a reasonable number to achieve in one month because I’m also counting coffee shops as well as cafes and restaurants. I’ve got a list in my bullet journal of places I’d like to try!
Read 5 books
I managed 5 in February so five in March is definitely doable. 3 of them will be the final three books in the I Heart series and then I want to move on to the Elsie Silver Chestnut Springs series. I’m trying to get through my physical books but might dip in and out of my Kindle too.
Make the most of Disney+
I got a deal for three months and it was mostly because I wanted to watch the Eras Tour in a couple of weeks. I’ve no idea what I’ll start watching but I have quite a few on my watchlist so far!
Start 75 Soft challenge
So I don’t have an exact start date but it will be at some point in March. I’m hoping to ease in for a couple of weeks, such as regular workouts, before fully committing to the challenge. Whilst it’s a soft version of 75 Hard, I do need to implement a routine and start exercising again.
Aim for 20 no-spend days
Again, this probably seems extreme for many people but for me right now, it’s the right amount. Obviously, random things crop up but I do try to look at my month as a whole before setting a figure. I’ve given myself 11 spending days, which should be more than enough. It just means any extra purchases online will be bought on a spend day!
Focus on a proper work + blog routine
March is all about routine for me. On top of healthy habits, I also need to get back into a routine with both work and blogging. I am applying for full-time jobs so this might change again but I’m trying to start prioritising again. Client work and this blog are my main focuses and then I’ll see if I have room for anything else!
Track daily word count
Simply put, I want to see how productive I’m being. I’ll also be tracking my time to go in hand in hand with my word counts. Of course, I’ll have days off but on the whole, I want to see how much I write per day!
Find my groove with short-form content
I’m not a video editor but I’ve got a new-found love for TikTok. I’ve posted a slideshow post on there but I’m just not very good with video. I’m hoping to find some free time to play around with video editing as it’s only a skill that can help me! I’m a total novice with short-form videos so please recommend apps and tools to me! I also need a tripod because apparently, I threw my old one away!
That’s everything for my 10 goals for March 2024. I can’t believe we’re into the third month of 2024 already because the first two months both dragged and flew by at the same time. I’m hoping March is pretty transformational for me which is reflected in my 10 goals for March 2024.
