It’s been three weeks since my last instalment because blogging just hadn’t been a priority lately. Because of this, this post will be a catch-up of the past 21 days, rather than just seven. In all honesty, you haven’t missed much. I’ve not been anywhere and have stayed at home as usual. Here’s a round-up of the Sunday Diaries 005.
OLYMPICS ADDICTION
I watched the Games non-stop from start to finish and didn’t miss a single day from 7am to 3pm. There were just so many incredible moments, not just medal wins. It was definitely the Games of togetherness, emotion and progress. More events for women, more representation for the LGBTQ+ community and more openness about the pressures of being an elite athlete. There were some definite low points but for the most part, it brought optimism and hope for so many. Sure, medals are awesome but anyone who made it to the Olympics is a winner in my eyes. Bring on the Paralympics in a few days time!
NEW SERVICES LAUNCH
I launched earlier than I had planned but I just wrote the sales page and pressed publish one day! There’s definitely a point where you can overthink stuff, especially in business, so it was refreshing to just do it. I’ve designed packages at three tiers to suit a range of businesses, from start-ups to established ones. I’m really passionate about these new offerings so can’t wait to work with some incredible businesses! I only launched them on Instagram on Thursday but have had some great feedback already!
THEATRE BOOKINGS
I might finally be getting some sort of normalcy back, which for me is theatre! At the end of July, I booked to see Bonnie + Clyde in concert featuring my absolute fave Jeremy Jordan. However, I have since discovered his co-star Laura Osnes is anti-vax. Hopefully, she’ll be denied entry to the UK and Jeremy can just do a one-man show of the musical!
GREY’S ANATOMY CATCH-UP
Now TV is a god-send but it doesn’t seem to keep new shows on for very long. Despite only being halfway through season 15 of my annual Grey’s binge, I had to skip ahead and watch season 17 before Now took it off. Whilst I do prefer the older seasons, the last series had some incredibly relevant storylines which I loved. Just a season and a bit to watch before I’m all done for this year!
STRICTLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
My favourite time of year is always winter because Christmas/my birthday and Strictly is back on our screens. As most of you will know, I’ve been a superfan of the show since day 1 and live tweet every week along with the show with comments and scores. The line-up this year is insane (Dan Walker, Adam Peaty, Tom Fletcher, Ugo Monye, Nina Wadia) and there’s someone for everyone. Sure, we rarely know every contestant but that’s the point!
RED (TAYLOR’S VERSION)
I spent hours doing that bloody wordsearch (sorry, it’s not a crossword in the UK) and then she went and released the track listing anyway! I’m disappointed there was no release on Friday 13th though! Only three months to wait now until my favourite album of all time is re-released!
The Sunday Diaries 005 is complete. Hopefully, I’ll be back next week to share my terribly exciting life at home. In the meantime, follow me on Twitter or Instagram to check out what I get up to every day.
