We’re midway through 2025, and I’m feeling January vibes. It feels like a great time to hit the reset button, especially if 2025 hasn’t gone quite to plan so far. Here are my 10 goals for July 2025, with a recap of June first.
JUNE GOALS RECAP
Read 8 books
Fail. I managed to read six books, which is still impressive! They were all four or five-star reads, too, so in theory, it was a great month of reading!
Go to the cinema
Fail. I was meant to go on Monday, but didn’t make it. I’ve still got the F1 Movie on my watchlist as well as the new Superman movie. I’m not a fan of superhero movies in general (apart from the OG Spiderman trilogy), but it doesn’t look too bad.
Get back into a routine with healthy habits
Done-ish. I’m really good at starting to month off strong, but then I get lazy. This month, with the heat, I slacked off on a lot, apart from drinking loads of water. I’d rather sit at home in front of the fan, and eat smaller meals!
Stick to June budget and have a low-spend month
DONE. I’m really happy with the amount that I spent in June, only going over-budget in a couple of categories. I’ll share more in my June spending diaries later this week.
No spending on clothes
Fail. However, I only spent around £50, which is small for me! I got lured into the M&S sale in-store, and bought a bunch of ribbed vests for the summer. Not a need necessarily, but I didn’t have many beforehand!
Aim for 18 no-spend days
Fail. I did manage 15, which is half of the month. Again, I need to get back into planning out my spending days, so I’m not making purchases on rogue days and spoiling my no-spend day plans!
Plan and schedule content for business
Another fail. I didn’t post once, nor did I even plan a single post. Well done to me.
Visit one co-working space
Done-ish. Whilst I haven’t technically done this, I’ve decided to make use of the library in town instead. I’m already a member for books, but the reference library has decent Wifi and enough space to work from. Plus, it’s free!
Stick to June blog content plan
Fail. I’d planned on posting three times a week every week. However, I cocked it up again mid-month and then posted once a week. I’m hoping to get back into it properly in July/August, because I have very few other plans.
Figure out a plan for my social media
Fail. Again, I started off the month strongly, posting for the first 13 days, then just posted whenever I could be bothered. It’s still much better than any other point in the year, but because I’m not a video girlie, I find it difficult to grow.

10 GOALS FOR JULY 2025
June is dead to me now, so here’s a look at my 10 goals for July 2025.
Read 6 books
My aim was to read 80 books this year. However, I’m a little far behind, so instead, I’ve decided to reduce it (more on that tomorrow). Four books a month is too small, eight is too large. Six seems like the perfect middle ground. Plus, I really want to read more than usual over the summer. Less screen time, more reading time.
Declutter my wardrobes
I try to do this every quarter, so here we are again. I’m really hoping there isn’t much to get rid of, but I’d love a bit of extra space. It might also be a good time to wash some of my heavier items, such as jackets and coats, whilst they can dry quickly outside.
Set up my summer capsule wardrobe
I’ll admit that summer dressing is not my favourite, so my outfit formula will be shorts and a vest or a baggy T-shirt. I’ve added a bunch of vests from M&S and bra tops from Uniqlo that should keep me going. I don’t have tonnes of shorts, but they all seem pretty pricey on the market right now!
Try a new eatery
There are a bunch of new-ish eateries in Hull right now, so I at least want to try one this month. In fact, I might make a list of all the ones in the town centre and create a little bucket list! Luckily for me, there isn’t a Taco Bell in the city centre because that’s my weakness whenever I go out of town.
Focus on my skincare routine twice a day
Skincare is something that I go through phases with. One month, I’m super on it twice a day. The next month, I’m lucky if I do it once a day. Yes, I’m lazy. However, I ain’t getting any younger! My routine isn’t super simple, but it’s also not ten steps either. My skin is severely hydrated, especially in the summer, so it loves thick, moisturising products.
Aim for 20 no-spend days
Because July is low on plans out of the house, I really want to push myself to only spend on eleven days or fewer. It’s still about a third of the month, so I’d love to stick to that. It’s going to require some willpower, but I don’t really need anything right now!
Have a low-spend month
This sort of ties in with my no-spend goal, but with zero day trips in July, it makes sense to use it as a low-spend month. Obviously, I can’t do a no-spend month (I get my nails done every three weeks, I have dermaplaning booked, and it’s my dad’s birthday in two weeks). However, if I can keep my other spending low (no clothes, toiletries or stationery ideally), I can save more!
Sort out documents for 25/26 taxes
I’m really good at keeping all invoices in a folder on Gmail. However, I either don’t download all of them, or when I do, I just shove them in one folder on my external harddrive. This month, I want to sort them into months, as well as separate my invoices from expenses. I’m sure it’ll take me all of fifteen minutes, but it’s a task I keep putting off!
Plan + schedule Q3 business content
I’ve posted zero business content lately, neither on my blog nor on my socials. However, summer is the time when I have more time, plus it’s the start of a new quarter. However, I’m so stuck with what to post on socials, because it’s not really my area of expertise anymore. I also find sitting on Canva for hours not the most productive use of my time. But if I want more clients, I need to try something new!
Plan + schedule Q3 blog content
So it’s the same goal, but for this blog and its socials. I’ve got most of my blog content planned out, but I might switch some things up. Ideally, I’d post every day to my socials and around three times a week to my blog. However, I’ll settle for two blog posts a week and a couple of social media posts as well. I’d rather set myself a minimum goal and work from that as a starting point. Let me know if there’s any content you want to see from me!
And that’s everything for my 10 goals for July 2025. I’m hoping to share my 2025 goals 2.0 tomorrow or sometime this week, too. Like I said in the intro, I’m using this week as a reset week and getting my year back on track.
