If you read my last post, you’ll know that May was a busy month and June looks set to be even busier. With theatre day trips, lots of client work and blogging to balance, I’m excited to have a busy month and am hoping to get back into some kind of routine. Let’s recap May first before getting into my 10 goals for June 2025.
MAY GOALS RECAP
Before I get into my 10 goals for June 2025, let’s have a look at if I achieved my May goals first.
Read 8 books
I’m disappointed that I’ve only got through four books in May. I was so excited to read much more, but I got lazy in the evening. Instead of reading, I’d stroll through TikTok for an hour and then go straight to sleep. It’s a bad habit that I hope to rectify in June.
Start 2023/2024 theatre scrapbook
Another fail. I can barely keep up to date with my 2025 theatre scrapbook, never mind start a new one for last year’s trips. I’ll get around to it eventually!
Start + finish 31 Days of Wellness challenge
Oops, I tried to be better with consistent healthy habits, but I’m just struggling with juggling everything in my life right now. It’s also hard to do without an accountability partner, so if you’re looking to do something similar, let’s be buddies!
Make snack boxes every Sunday
DONE. I’m trying to cut down on the amount of snacks that I eat, and making snack boxes every week is definitely helping! They’re not exactly healthy snack boxes, but they’re an easier way to cut down on calories whilst still enjoying my favourite sweet treats.
Aim for 15 no-spend days
DONE! I’m really happy that I managed 16 no-spend days in May, despite going on multiple day trips out of town. I wouldn’t even say it was my main focus this month, but it’s something I’m actively going to work on for the rest of the year.
Stick to May budget
DONE-ISH. I’m only slightly over-budget, but it’s the closest I’ve been for months! Considering I booked three concerts and four more theatre tickets, I’m pretty happy that I didn’t overspend whenever I went out of town.
Set up + publish all May business content
Fail. I’ve been feeling so uninspired with my business content right now, so I don’t really know what to do. I’d love to post more, but I have zero creativity for it right now.
Stick to blog content plan
Sort of. I redid my content plan for the rest of the year two weeks ago, and so far, so good. I’ve posted consistently for those two weeks, so it’s a good start!
Post something on Instagram + TikTok
Fail. Short-form content is another mammoth undertaking, so I need to start working on what I want my social media to be about. Do I just repurpose blog stuff, or do I make it a bit more personal? I think I need to do a bit more thinking about what to do with my accounts.
Enjoy my two weeks off
DONE. I took the first week off just to relax and catch up on TV. In the second week, I spent most of it planning and drafting blog posts for this website. In fact, I’ve planned out most of 2025!
MAY STATS
8 – TV shows watched (Chicago Fire season 4-6, Law and Order: SVU seasons 18-19, DCC:MTT seasons 3-5)

JUNE PLANS
I have lots to do in June to end Q2, which has definitely been my busiest quarter for years! Here are my plans for June:
- 7th – Six at Hull New Theatre (just in case the press night doesn’t happen, I booked a ticket)
- 12th – Day trip to Bradford to see Mary Poppins
- 18th – America’s Sweethearts season 2 launches on Netflix (I love the DCC!)
- 19th – Day trip to Leeds to see Northern Ballet’s Romeo & Juliet
- 24th – Nails + hairdressers appointment
- 25th – Day trip to Sheffield to see Kinky Boots (again)
- 30th – Chicago press night in Hull
10 GOALS FOR JUNE 2025
Now that we’ve wrapped up May, it’s time for my 10 goals for June 2025.
Read 8 books
I will achieve this goal this month! I’m aiming to read at least 50 pages a day before bed, and by putting my phone away at 10pm, I should be able to fit in around an hour of reading most nights. I also should have a proper dinner hour to relax and read most weekdays. It’s rare that I do, but even just one or two days a week should help me to read even more.
Go to the cinema
I’m slightly cheating with this goal because the new F1 movie comes out this month and it’s on my watchlist. I will say that I detest Brad Pitt, but I love F1. Judging by the drivers’ opinions, I need to go in with a very open mind, as it’s very Hollywood-esque. However, I’ve also watched Drive to Survive, but have been watching the actual races since I was about 7. I’m sure I can get over some dramatic plotlines.
Get back into a routine with healthy habits
Because I’m trying and failing with these healthy living challenges, such as my 31 days of wellness and 75 Soft/Medium/Hard, I’m thinking about just going back to basics. Instead, I’ll just focus on doing as many habits per day as I can, tracking them in the app and reflecting at the end of the month. I’ll also add in a bonus goal of not using my phone until I complete my morning routine. I’ve been spending far too much time on my phone first thing lately and want to nip that habit in the bud!
Stick to June budget and have a low-spend month
Even though I have three day trips in June, I want to keep to a low-spend month. There’s really nothing I need, but instead, I’ll try to save more and pay more towards a credit card. My spending has gotten a bit out of control so far this year, and I need to rein it in. Obviously, I want to earn more, too, but spending less means I can save more.
No spending on clothes
As I said above, I really don’t need to be buying as much as I have been. Clothes are one of my vices, but I work from home, so I really don’t need any more clothes when I live in the same joggers, sweatshirts and T-shirts. However, I do need to go through my summer clothing collection and then make a shopping list for what I actually need.
Aim for 18 no-spend days
Normally, I aim for 15-20, so I’m in my usual ballpark figure. In theory, I have seven planned spending days, so I could push it to 23. However, I’m giving myself an extra day per week in case I need to nip into town or treat myself to a solo coffee date and work from a cafe. 18 seems achievable if I’m selective about which days I spend money on.
Plan and schedule content for business
My business content has definitely fallen by the wayside in 2025. I’ll post for a couple of weeks and then not again for over a month or so. I know that consistency is the best way to get more business from social media, but it’s really hard to keep up with it! It’s something I did when I first launched my business, but I’ve slowly got worse at it. June is the month that I get back to it on both my social media and my website.
Visit one co-working space
It was one of my annual goals to join a co-working space, but firstly, I want to actually trial one out. Some places in Hull offer free day passes so I’d like to use one of them. They’re a range of different price points as well, and whilst I don’t want to necessarily choose the cheapest place, I’m also not willing to spend a ton every month for an office space. Whilst I do have my home office, it would be nice to get out of the house a bit more and maybe even interact with other humans!
Stick to June blog content plan
I spent my week off doing a ton of blog post planning. In fact, I’ve nearly planned out my entire schedule for the rest of the year! However, now it’s about sticking to the plan and drafting stuff up. The plan is to have one blog day a week or use a couple of nights a week. Right now, I’m about a week ahead. The issue is that some posts can be written in advance, some can’t. It’s about finding the balance between the two and staying on top of it all!
Figure out a plan for my social media
As I type this, I’ve actually already planned most of my ideas for social media content in June. The main issue with social media for me is that I’m not really good with video content. I’ve no idea what apps to use or how to cut a video together nowadays. I’m also a planner, so I’m no good with spontaneously making content on the fly. However, with social media, you have to be reactive. I’ve come up with a loose plan for the month, but it’ll be something I review every week too.
And that’s a wrap with my 10 goals for June 2025. My main aim for the month is definitely balance because I have multiple plates to contend with right now. I’d say focus is my secondary word because with those multiple plates, they each need proper attention.
